WTH!! A freak'n light works! OMG!!

Things are heating up? Those hard workers are in those plants for almost 2 weeks now! Constant radiation leaks and explosions!

Stop blowing the situation out of scale! They are in the hospital because they are exposed to radiation for 2 weeks now! To help and save the other Japanese people!

They are amlmost IN the source of this radiation! That is why there in the hospital! Not because it's "heating up" now, but because there EXPOSED to this shit for 2 weeks now!

Hahaha a light in a control room, im sitting in a control room until 5am. If I could post pics without going through a big hassle I would take some of some electrical stuff here and see that just because you get power run in there is a lot of other shit that has to work

Did you see the horrible pictures of some of the "heroes" from Chernobyl disaster - in at least one case - all of his skin, to include one leg - was literally melted away.

Skin lesions? I Don't think so... much, worst than that! In a week or less - hopefully - with prayer - they will finally die.

Exactly, and most overhead lights have their wiring off the ground - away from the seawater and other crap that went through the building. I seriously, seriously can't believe people believe this shit!

But why would the pumps not work?
The only problem was the external power source being knocked out, and then the generators failing.
If they had have shipped in portable generators the day it happened they would have been able to run the pumps?
Why would the Tsunami damage the pumps?How could it is a better question?

Well, I give credit to the guy who wired the florescent lights! Nicely done... But, for the rest of the wreckage, after "tons" of sea water was poured, sprayed & dropped into the reactor.... who in their right mind thinks the pumps, etc.. or any control panels - could possible be functioning?

Not sure of the voltage in Japan, but here and every plant ive worked at or been at you start with 13,800 volts, step it down to 4160,480 220 and 120. This is done in the switchgear and mcc (motor control center). You just cant get this stuff wet and just expect to start things up.Getting power to a control room is no big deal.When we lost power with Katrina and Gustav they had to go through everything in the switchgear building just because of the humidity. The electrical has to stay around 70 deg.Take your washer and dryer and put it in the ocean for a while and then just go plug it in and see what happens

Well then, I apologize for getting your point wrong... so, in this case I have to say your totally wrong!

Not a single circuit board on this earth can recover from this onslaught of seawater! I work in the computer industry, I repair, build, sell and maintain computers for a living (20+ years) - not one circuit board is still alive. And I find it very hard to imagine that anyone tech-savy guy is up to the challenge of replacing circuit boards under these conditions. Most computer techs are not trained for this sort of thing (I'm being sarcastic here).

Besides the FACT that there are no replacement parts being made and/or available - that has already been reported, repeatedly on the Japanese news.

So... if you think for one second that this isn't getting worst... you live in a delusional mind.

What the hell has this to do with my post or computers/circuit boards? I'm an IT specialist as well, i don't do manual laybor anymore but i'm higher up the tree in server side management. But this is completely besides what this subject AND my posts where about!
