Heres a neutron beam in water: It doesn't get very far in water. That is actually light emissions from the absorbed beam, but emissions are what is visible. Were you to actually stare into a neutron beam you would see that flash in the vitreous humour of the eye, and from damaged retinal cells. So it would be brighter, and bad for your eye.
