I rather think the Illuminati influence goes along these lines:
“The ideal tyranny is that which is ignorantly self-administered by its victims. The most perfect slaves are, therefore, those which blissfully and unawaredly enslave themselves.” Dresden James

What you have in the Declaration of Independence and in the Constitution is mankind's pinnacle of thought related to the Rationalist Philosophers during the enlightenment. Or the summary of a government formed based upon the premise of natural rights.

Truly every individual is their own, and they own themselves otherwise we would never be accountable for our actions. Derivations from that include the right to own one's fruits of their labor, property and wealth.

But governments are groups of people who must make decisions for the other individuals they represent their decisions form a collective that must abide by the rules set forth in the founding document, the constitution.

Somewhere along the line the Illuminati were able to subvert the ideas of natural rights with the ideas of humanitarianism or utilitarianism or collectivism. The idea that the needs of the many outweigh the rights of the individual. Thus communism/socialism/collectivism was invented to allow illuminist agents to direct the course of the collective decisions to their own advantage. They trusted the ignorance and greed of the masses would not detect their influence upon the course of human events.

It's the play between accepting an individual's natural rights versus the need to make collective decisions for the nation as a whole, without abiding strictly to the rules, over time the government becomes rule of man instead of rule of law.

We live the times of the rule of man having lost the pinnacle of human achievement accomplished post Renaissance period in the constitution of the United States.
