Bear in mind, I'm 29. Thin, fit, but soft mentally. Lazy. I hate work.

But I need to get off my ass and do something with my life, and serving this country just might be the answer.

What's the best (easiest boot camp) option?

If you are serious, just think of which way you would rather die or mistreat people. Then choose the one that suits you best.

I don't plan on dying or mistreating anyone.

I'd probably be put in a clerical role. I'm not mathematically gifted, nor mechanically, but anything to do with the written word or communications I could handle.

Can't imagine I'd be put on the front lines.

Biggest worry is how I'll deal with and interact with other enlistees.

I almost completed my degree, but my credit is so bad, and I already have a federal loan that I never paid back, that I may NEVER finish my degree. Military might help with that.

And isn't the cut off age 32? So I need to get on it.

you'd be better to KILL YOURSELF right now, and save all the child-murderin' and child-rapin' and blowing up innocent markets and you know all of that other Corporate War mentality shit.

Save yourself.

WARS FOR PROFIT MUST END.

I think the Navy would be a poor choice, because I can't swim, I sink like a rock because I have no body fat, and all in all I hate crampt spaces like subs or boats.

Army? Again, I'd worry about the level of intelligence of the enlistees. I'd probably hate being around them.

Marines? Just too damn hard.

Airforce. You will load up soldiers on planes going to combat. Then you can have a cookout with Brats & Beer. While they are getting shot at.

The USN has the best schools available to train you....but if you want 'slack' duty, join the USCG....I believe they'll put you in USN 'A' & 'C' schools, but you'll spend pretty much every night / sleep cycle on land.

Go Navy !!

The Coast Guard? Never thought of that. Huh.

I actually already make plenty of money (but not enough to change my life).

I'm bored.

I need something to get me out, meet new people. Something to get me off my ass.

I know if you have a degree, going into the Air Force as an officier is a good option. Really wish I had that degree, and hadn't taken out that loan I never paid back.

Airforce or the navy
and go for your wings.

If not accepted at least you will sleep in a bed every night
and WTF.

Learn how to swim for god sake. Its not that hard.

When I was young, my best friend literally died right in front of me because he could not swim and I was not able to save him. Never told me he could not swim.

Army or Marines are ground pounders.

Airforce the easiest. I was in the Navy and it was extremely easy too.

I would join the Navy though, best technical training and you get to see the world

My biggest worry would be leaving behind my cushy, relaxed, lazy, easy life -- I work 25-30 hours a week, have plenty of cash on hand -- to be given way to a life of hard work, discipline, and having to socially interact with entlistees who may drive me nuts.

If I get there and serving my country and being brave isn't for me, I'm SOL. I'm fucked.

It's just that my life now feels totally meaningless.

Killing some people you have never met will fix that for sure. And if it doesn't, seeing your friends explode will probably do it.
War, is so meaningful. That is why serial killers are so relaxed and enjoyable.

Figure out another way, my friend. The best way you could serve your country is run for Sheriff of your county. Or, there are other ways. Military service is NOT one of them.
