I've been wondering this myself. The Italians are mostly arab in the south of Italy but in the north they are clearly Nordic European. The Irish are also very dark skinned with dark features in some areas but in others they are red-headed, freckle-faced, pale skinned. The dark Irish, or black Irish as they are known, are also mostly arab.

I guess it depends on what area of the country you are talking about. All of Europe was overrun by other races so there are some areas that have dark people and other areas with lighter skinned people. Germans tend to have pale skin and dark features due to the invasion of Mongols about 2000 years ago. Yes, that's right, the Aryan race is made up of people that are part Asian.
