Many years ago, somewhere round 1980 I performed this mirror experiment as explained by the Bhagwan, or Osho in later years.
However I just stared without blinking (not so easy) into the bathroom mirror without a candle, but with enough daylight for twilight conditions and to my surprise I noticed a definite change in my mirrorimage.
First of all I became aware of a Hindu symbol of the wheel of karma with a huge cobra snake on top of it and then I noticed my appearance had altered into a blond roman type of soldier or senator in tunic and with a small beard, somewhat resembling my today appearance(no beard though).
The image seemed believable as I've always felt an affinity for ancient roman times from a past life, possibly at the time of Jesus in Palestine, and present at the event when the Crucifiction took place !

I was able to do that once and I got a wolf face on my body

Well, The circle of life says that when you die you go back to the earth to become something new. Life uses what was once you, Which might make its way to another human being or living creature/plant.

so you can call it whatever you want, but its true to a certain extent.

So finally the answer has come to me, I was a male in my past life, I don't know his name, or his birth or age or anything. Just what he looks like. I had my friend try it out, she told me she was a fat man in her past life, she didn't really give me details, but I now know that I was male in my past life. I think I can find an internet picture of my past life. He had this weird kind of moustache and he had black hair, I think my one dream of the twins was about him, I think he was one of the twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!​!

Our minds create and look for patterns. A face is the most basic pattern there is.

I agree fully with the above statement... mirror gazing can go terribly wrong. Mirrors can be portals not joking about this either. If you aren't careful doing this then you may open doors that you don't want to be opened. Just saying...

Portals? Doors? Where do they lead? I don't use a candle. Where does the "PORTAL" lead to? Is it bad? Cuz if it is, I'll never go near a mirror ever again? Well maybe not, but where would the portal lead to? The dragon ages?

While that might sometimes be effective, most people would go into delusions of grandeur and ego. Couple that with brain molestation zaps excacerbating their ego and you'll have a million cleopatra's running around secretly rebuilding their empires.

A method I used with great success is simply to go into a meditative state with the intent of viewing a key past life event from your own eyes back then.

Get used to using your minds eye and learn how to relinquish control of what it sees - this comes through trying over some time (this is a very useful tool for a number of things, I'll maybe start a thread on it later).

Start with a controlled vision, i.e conscious creation of an image. This should be an entrance of some sort - I visualize a hollow in the roots of an old tree in the forest near my house. You imagine that this doorway will take you to that key moment in the past life, and step through the door.

VERY IMPORTANT: When you enter the door, LET GO. Allow your minds eye to create the imagery itself, this will take a little practice but it's fairly easy to do as long as you try.
