Is the Shroud of Turin a Templar Forgery?
An official carbon dating on the Shroud of Turin dates it near the time of the Knights Templar’s fall from glory. Though the image looks like Jesus Christ, many think it could also be that of Jacques De Molay, the Grand Master of the Knights Templar that was tortured by the King of France and burned alive. Before the Shroud of Turin was brought out for the public to see, it was in the possession of the De Charney family, the family of the man that was burned alive next to Jacques De Molay.

The image only LOOKS like what people THINK Jesus looked like.
The Shroud was not made of local material and does not follow the scriptural description of Jesus's burial nor in the tradition of His day.
Its a hoax, but you can get a viseral tongue lashing by those who WILL to believe in it if you counter them with FACTS.
Revelation 1:7 "Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen."

Zechariah 12:10 "And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look on Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."

Re: Is the Shroud of Turin a Templar Forgery?
S'gan is right.

Not only that, but additionally, the way the man is lying is not possible. It is almost certainly not a real person, it likely once covered a statue if anything.

Notice that the man would have been dead, and thus lying down. His shoulders are against the slab or bed or whatever that he's lying on... that means they are BACK, not up.

Yet the hands daintily cover up the privates so that none of the sweet little nuns will be offended.

Go ahead, lay down, drop your shoulders back the way they naturally would be in when you relax... now without lifting your shoulders, try to cover up your privates...

Oops. Anatomically impossible.

You would think that this single, obvious fact would be enough to make people rethink. Then the details given in the bible do not match the shroud, either. Follow that up with the fact that the shroud is (as S'gan pointed out) not from the area.

Still. Let's not let common sense and all the glaring, obvious problems with it deter us from calling it authentic.

kind of like convincing jewish people that there was no burning bush, and that moses coulnd't have parted a sea.

all people believe stories, and it's their right too.

personally i do think it's a fake, but if it keeps people from acting like fools becuse they believe some guy with a beard is watching then i'm okay.

Re: Is the Shroud of Turin a Templar Forgery?
this mystery has been completely solved by Lynn picknett

[link to www.picknettprince.com]

To make a long story very short. You can see that the image on the shroud is an EXACT replica of Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Salvador Mundi”

That painting was a self-portrait. ergo the image on the shroud is in fact none other than Leonardo da Vinci

Click on the link and you can examine the pictures for yourself

Read this and make your own opinion. In my book the Shroud is a fraud.

All the lies won't stop His return. Prepare to meet the King of Kings soon. The signs are all around us for those who are not afraid to face the truth.
