If all beer was non-alcoholic would people still say it tastes so good?

Lets say we live in Bizzaro World and beer does not contain alcohol. Beer would still exist but would be a product like Pepsi or Sprite as no alcohol would make it a "soft drink."

Do you think people would still talk about how good beer tastes? To be honest beer doesn't taste great and if it wasn't for the alcohol I would have zero interest in it. I'd take a Slurpee or a Powerade any day over a beer if we are going by taste. Sure some beers taste better than others but I don't believe anyone who says they drink it simply because it tastes good.

So my question is would you still purchase and consume beer if it didn't contain alcohol?
