Message Subject *********************************************** QUESTION FOR GLPER WITH CHEMISTRY BACKGROUND - STARCH TEST FOR RADIOACTIVE IODINE??

these may be helpful, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at:
WIKIPEDIA: Starch Indicator - [link to en.wikipedia.org]
WIKIPEDIA: Iodine Test - [link to en.wikipedia.org]

seems potassium iodide would have to be present, as well as the radioactive isotope in a high enough concentration ??

so saving some pasta water and dissolving a potassium iodide tab in it would do the trick, if I'm understanding it...

help appreciated
