control of info. they are owned by google. Look at google trends, you can go back over every day, notice they claim the top 20 most searched terms none of which say japan, radiation, libya, unconstitutional. How dumb do they think we are.

This happened a while ago and after research I found that you tube has a bunch of servers world wide and unless the video you want is on a local server then it bogs down and you have to wait for it to download onto your local server. once you do this then anyone else who watches it from that server gets it in a continuos stream. Im not sure when they changed it to this but yeah, it sux fucking balls. Put it all back on a central server you ass clowns.

The bandwidth requirements to have tens of millions of people streaming HD video is UTTERLY INSANE! No matter how much money youtube throws at the problem of pushing data through the pipes, the current network of fiberoptics just can't handle the pressure, especially at peak hours.

No conspiracy here, just the fact humanity's bandwidth consumption has gone through the roof lately.

videos that youtube dislike(especially esoteric or secretive but powerful information, as well as alternative news and messages such as bloggers out of japan) WILL GET VERY VERY LITTLE BANDWIDTH, whilst if you search for lady gaga videos they will get bandwidth priority.

Youtube sucks balls now? How much? or do I have to pay per ball? If I can watch a man being hit in the balls over and over while my balls are sucked, I'm all for it!

Yep its shit, I preview in 240p and download if its a keeper. Can rip a 1080p vid faster than stream it in 360p now days, and half the related vids are stuff I watched last week/month/year GTFO - Google desperate to give me what THEY think I want uhh.. FAIL!

It's adobe flashplayers fault.

Adobe Flashplayer is some sort of government monopoly, one of the few controls you have is to let adobe flashplayer access your microphone and webcam, as if it's a joke that it's just spyware to listen to your built in mic and cam.

It always deletes all your video in your cache, so it has to reload everytime you replay something, that right there doubles or triples the bandwidth youtube uses.

I guess they are afraid of software that can copy the video in the cache to your harddrive, but what a stupid solution to the problem.

Use the filters. They are there for a reason.

I remember the first time I got high speed internet, I could load the entire 5 minute music video in a second, and I could skip around in videos.

Now it's always fucking around, trying to just barely buffer enough to play, and if you try and skip around it crashes.

The funny thing is, those programmers at those big companies make over 100 grand a year and there's hordes of them and all they do all day is mess around with something that already worked great 20 years ago.
