for fucks sake .... the guy has never asked for any 'donations' or any help ...

he is just a resident in Japan and has small children and is pissed off at the Japanese government because they are withholing vital information as regards the safety of millions of people (worldwide)

someone comes on this forum, stating that they are offering their flat in Germany to help/relocate the guy and his family

then, some cunts reply running the guy down, and looking for fucking excuses not to help

get a life cunts .... help the guy or shut the fuck up! ... he never asked for any help. all he was doing was complaining that vital information is being witheld from not only the Japanese community, but the rest of the world

I will be donating .... those who do not wish to donate fuck off and comment on another thread

Its no big deal. The rent is paid, so they can live rent free for a year or so. Its central in a large City so finding a job should not be a problem. His staying permit wouldnt be a problem either, I can find a job for him right away that will allow him to stay. I can stay at a friend of mines place who is never there. So it would all work out without any inconvienence.

You are going to donate money that will help out Japs and this French asshole!?

Take that money and go buy American.

Thank god for people like you--you have compassiona for your fellow human being, as we are all in this together. I even sent that guy in Tokyo a message--people all over the world are most likely willing to help those in Japan. It is the beautiful side of human nature. Those who are being so callous are probably very lonely, miserable people.

well i hope those management bozos at Tepco appreciate
how much we hate them for fucking up the
world the way they have.

this never should have happened, and it's
their fault. the moment the tsunami hit
everyone in that plant was running like
hell to get the hell out of there. THERE
WAS NO ONE LEFT IN ANY OF THE CONTROL ROOMS
TO SHUT ANYTHING DOWN.

THEN, Tepco management completely fucked up
the response to the catastrophe once it
had happened, and all the corrective measures
they took along the way were rediculous.

Tepco management's incompetence has fucked
up the whole world!

and the Prime Minister of Japan doesn't
know what to do now!

TEPCO and the Japanese gov't colluded in many ways to contribute not only to this disaster but also in the cover-up of many safety violations in the past. Their mis-handling of this whole thing is a crime against humanity and I hope they will be held accountable by all of the people of the planet... God help the Japanese people who will undoubtably suffer the most from this.

There are no homeless here in Germany for one thing, and what I have done to help people is my business. If I started listing things I have done to help people, it would mean I was a creep. And a creep I am not.

I know the danger the people in Japan are facing. They are going to die. The reactor is in meltdown, Plutonium particles will be released when that happens and kill them within a month. You are not aware of the danger, I am aware.

I like this man's attitude, I see myself in him, and it is no skin off my back to offer him my apartment. I dont hang onto my things and place them above a life. I can stay with my friend who doesnt use his apartment anyway because of his type of job that keeps him away from home.

And I am divorced, so I dont have anyone to tell me not to follow what my heart tells me to do. And my heart says, "help this man, you could be in exactly the same situtation." And this guy is worth helping. I make my own judgement calls on who I will help. So I will help him.

Actually, his point is that the information being given to the japanese people on the news is mis-leading and in some cases untrue. He does have a lot of insight in that he has been living there for a long time and he knows the mindset of the japanese people. he is married to a Japanese woman and he understands that they are 'going with the program' as usual. He is pissed about it and he wants the world to know what is happening...

Your probably right and the guy is genuine ... but recently we have had two natural disasters in New Zealand and we have witnessed all sorts of scams, from pretending to a member of the pike mine disaster, to setting up web sites pretending to be the Red Cross.

Many of the scams started overseas, they're not even our people doing it. People catch a plane so they can come and loot.

Re: Alex from Japan: LATEST INFO on the MELTDOWN
So everyone , ok- most of the posters here- want to get this guy and his family out of there. They want to collect money to fly him out. Want to give him a place to live.

This makes me think, I don't know if I just missed his personal information somewhere, or is everyone just assuming things?
Here are my points.

1. Is he in Japan because he is married to a Japanese woman?
2. Is he in Japan because he immigrated there for whatever reasons?
3. Is he in Japan because he was offered a highpaying job and/or great position?
4. Is he poor and can't afford the tickets?
5. Can he get tickets?
6. Has he tried? I only hear him talk about the dis-information of this event, but nothing about wanting to leave, or even plans to do so.
7. Is there any reason to believe that he does not have any family somewhere in the world, like france- that couldn't take them in? Parents, siblings?

Are there any indications at all, that he really needs people in other countries to offer him shelter and money?(I noticed that many of the poters are offering their last $$$ ).

To me he is trying to inform the world about the lack of information, and the dis-information in the media. Not to be rescued. He does not come across as a person in need, but more like an extreme frustrated guy, and mad as hell!
Can't blame him!

But then again, I might have missed something.
And to those who are questioning my compassion, I do have that, but as things are getting worse these days, I am going to be careful as to whom I pick.
There are many people right now who are in desperate need of all sort of help, real need of help! Pennyless, injured, broken, hopeless, homeless, hungry people.
Those that don't have a home with a computer and TV.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1299003

"One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.

Approaching the boy, he asked, 'What are you doing?'

The youth replied, 'Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.'

'Son', the man said, 'don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can't make a difference!'

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said ...

... 'I made a difference for that one.' "

Re: Alex from Japan: LATEST INFO on the MELTDOWN

What about the 141 million others? You going to evacuate them too?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1301510

. .

^^THIS ^^ It makes a huge difference to help ONE: one person, one child, one animal....it DOES make a difference "for that one" and if everyone saved just one, this world would be so different. Thank you for posting this starfish story; I love it so much!hf

beautiful story! this is how we used to raise our children. this is how i tried to raise my Son. i hope it took as the world is going to need it right now.

people are losing their humanity and decency and that is such a big part of our problem.

If it needs to be done, should we not try? Are we not compassionate? Have we become so indifferent to the suffering we see on a daily basis in all walks of life all over the world that we should turn our backs on them?

we should all call out GE and tell them to do their duty and evacuate the people of Japan. this is their mess from ground level.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1302949

That is not a bad idea...

this company, GE, paid no taxes, as i recall. they must have the funding.

i say we should organize something to call out GE and demand that they do the responsible thing and help the people of Japan who want to evacuate!
