This is completely normal. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1297826I don't think that is true. When my father retired from the Air Force, he was inactive reserve for ten years. He never even talked to anybody about "muster" annual or otherwise. Inactive reserve just means that in a national emergency, if you skills are needed, you can be recalled. Tols User ID: 376580 United States 03/30/2011 05:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You know I don't normally do this on posts, but for this guy claiming he has been called back to active duty, I call complete bullshit. Why didn't he show his recall letter; they don't just call you over the phone, you receive a certified letter from the Government telling you, you have been recalled to active duty and that you are to report to said base at said time and date. Until he produces a letter sent to him on his You Tube video, I will continue to call BS...... "If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy"- James Madison "Joining the military does not mean that you will be defending the country. The purpose of the U.S. military should be to defend the United States. Period. Yet, one of the greatest myths ever invented is that the current U.S. military somehow defends our freedoms. First of all, our freedoms are not in danger of being taken away by foreign countries; if they are taken away it will be by our own government. It is not a country making war on us that we need to fear, it is our government making war on the Bill of Rights. And second, how is stationing troops in 150 different regions of the world on hundreds of U.S. military bases defending our freedoms? It is not the purpose of the U.S. military to change regimes, secure the borders of other countries, or spread democracy at gunpoint. The Department of Defense should first and foremost be the Department of Homeland Security."--Laurence Vance-- |

However he did seem a bit nervous and the oral tick was prevalent enough to suggest narcotic interaction. While this in no way negates his testimony it was apparent. If I had been subjected to the military I to would probably partake in chemical escapes as well. |

Quoting: thecwexperienceWhat Say You??? IF, and I do say IF, this is real, it is BIG news as the Military does not recall the IRR "Inactive Ready Reserve" unless there are dire circumstances. I know that it was done when we originally began the war in Iraq, but these were ALL Military people within ONE year of entering the IRR. If they are calling up the IRR again, and they are calling people up that are outside the ONE year mark, something HUGE is on the Horizon. I would really like more information on this one. If there ARE other Military people out there whom are getting recalled from the IRR please let other people know that you are being recalled and how long you have been in the IRR. For this to take place, the Government must realize that our military is spread very thin at the moment and that also, there is something coming that we do not know about. I would make the assumption that the buddy he is talking about was recalled for ONE day, for a PHA "Physical Health Assessment" to determine his/her readiness for service if needed. It does state in everyone's contract that you are subject to recall for up to one week per year during the four years of IRR, however, as I said before, it is highly irregular and is definately something to worry about. Maybe we are getting ready to deploy troops to Libya? Who knows, but whatever the reason for the recall, IT IS NOT GOOD. Please give any additional information you can. You do not know what the fuck you are talking about. You, were not even in the military. I can tell that just by what you said. I will say this, you are "subject" to recall for up to one week a year to test your physical fitness for duty should you need to be recalled to ACTIVE duty, however, 90% of the military in the ready reserve never see this happen to them, at least until the Iraq war when the military, mostly the army did actually recall soldiers from the IRR that were within one year of leaving active duty. Please, don't talk about shit you know nothing about, you have a small tidbit of a portion of a fact and you try to sound like you know what the fuck you are talking about.
