I'm thinking that chemo dosage in the air will cure us all.

Chemo is NOT the same thing as radiation. I've had radiation...it's HELL.

my mom had chemo trust me its hell too. So much hell I will never take it I rather die.

My wife had Chemo, it messed her blood up. The blood could not produce platelets and the blood could not clot. She had Stomach cancer but died because her brain started bleeding.

But yeah, those murderers will never touch me with that poison.

chemo is with chemicals,not radiation,mum had radiation treatment years ago with radium,and they cut parts out of her,now years later she has got cancer from the radium treatment.

My mom also needs IV vitamin K now because of the same thing, had a stroke, all scared up from surgeries, walks with a walker and cane now, has to wear diapers because she can't control her bowels, is 90 lbs... been off chemo for two years and this is how she "lives". So when someone says "at least she is alive" well yes, and I love her, but shitting yourself, ill and forgetful watching oprah is not life.

you need to let your friend know that chemo doesn't "cure" ...it just treats cancer.....most likely it will come back

No they are completely different. With radiation, you are either blasted with a very narrow x-ray, given a radioactive fluid, or a small radioactive seed is implanted. The radiation destroys the DNA of nearby cells so they can't divide to make new cells.

With chemotherapy, you are given a chemical that either kills cells that are dividing or blocks chemical pathways that cells need to divide - it's basically a poison that affects cancer cells just slightly more than other types of cells.

Chemo can also be used to suppress your immune system in cases of autoimmune disease. I got a double dose of chemo last week and can finally function again. Chemo has been a godsend to me.

LOL, I'm not a shill! Trust me, Behcets disease is way worse than the chemo I take.

Did the vitamins for a long time, tried organic, less meat, etc. etc. I was really ill no matter what I did, until I got a diagnosis and started mainstream meds. I'm all for alternative cures, but I want to live too! I only do iv chemo once a month and it has helped me a lot

Taking chemo is like shooting yourself point blank to dislodge a piece of shrapnel that might kill you.

People should do some research on their own and go the alternative medicine route. Most who survive chemo are permanently scarred by it.

I can understand that... maybe keep reading just in case u find something else. I want u to feel good, just hate u have to do that.

You know this may be out there and u could ask a doc at the risk of sounding crazy but many meds lower the immune system.. one that comes to mind is valtrex that is used to treat herpes. I think some skin disorder drugs too... maybe lower it enough for u.. but I am only guessing I know nothing of your illness, though I plan to look into it now.

I was terrified of going on it, I'm fairly educated and understood the side effects and risks. But the disease had gotten into my brain and it was a life or death choice. I've done the chemo off and on 3 years now and may have to stay on it for the next 20 years. I do very well on it, God takes very good care of me. I'm sorry your mom is so ill, it's hard to watch people you love suffer. Many blessings to her!

Actually I have been on many immune suppressors, they all stop working after a while. I've been on huge doses of prednisone the past 8 years to. The steroids really suck.

One of my fellow Behcets sufferers did the alternative and died in about 6 months. I was on the alternative route and dying when I started mainstream treatment. I am not a sheeple, and the chemo may kill me later, but it has given me 3 years I may not have had.

all "medicine" is bullshit at some level, even "alternative" ones.

the only thing that works is you becoming more conscious and responsible for your health and body. begin to understand that everything is a matter of energy ,and so any ailment is simply reflecting an imbalance , a lack of energy with respect to your life.

the highest spiritual goal is that you become self-sufficient as a pure consciousness entity. so start working on this goal right now. it's not a good idea to rely on anything for too long, even basic necessities such as food, sex and sleep. when you become dependent on something, it starts controlling you and sucking you dry from energy.

Oh, yes, the "Guilt Trip." You have no idea how comforting that is to a cancer victim, or someone with a communicable illness, or someone with a blown artery, to hear it is all their own fault.

I truly DO believe that with all my home remedies aside, my chemo/radiation therapy DID save my life.

Think about this when it comes to your loved one, or your own life.......

In my case, I chose a mix of both.

And let me tell yay.........I truly believe that hd I not taken a mix of rad/chemo/glp remedies(so many!), I wouldn't b e here today

I'd rather puke for a month straight than DIE.

I am glad you are OK, just after seeing my mom and someone else I care very much about it killed... I think I rather die. That is not to say its not ok for others. For me I rather just die, not because of depression, or ignorance. Just a personal choice. I would use medication. Pain control as it got worse. I think what I hate most is because I choose death in some situations I am seen as "mental" somethings I would fight against..others I would just let it eat me alive.
