I found a similar one aired on bbc where the makers failed also to sink the boat but then like clever foxes they attempted something else that sunk it.
They placed the boat at the edge of the gas bubbles so the back would lower in an angle and start putting water inside until the boat sunk.
Keep in mind that the boat was hold still in that specific spot of the gas bubbles where if it was moving under normal conditions there wouldn't be enough time to gather water in the back of it to cause it to sink.

I had this interesting dream last night.

Me and an old friend were hunted down by police where i was in a vehicle in the back seat and right before the cops showed up to capture me there was a big white flash like in MIB with the memory erasure weapon. Then the cops showed up arrested me and in the prison they put me they were very nice there, i met a chinese woman who i was feeling she was my lover or someone i knew for a long time. She had one blind eye which i promised her to fix it and before i woke up from that dream she told me her name which was "medusa!".
