So perhaps you bible quoting people should just be concerned with YOUR own lives and stop playing God and passing judgment on others who YOU feel have sinned or not lived an exemplary life. There are plenty of us who live good, self-less, peaceful lives without adhering to the rules and regulations of organized religion and the threats therein. We can have a personal relationship with "God" without stepping foot inside a building filled with liars and hypocrits who try to tell us how we are supposed to live our lives when they can't even do that which they are telling others to do. You can believe what you want but I chose to stay away from anyone who has to use fear, intimidation, and threats of eternal torture to get me to obey. If those things work for you then more power to you. |

Religion puts you into a box where you are destined to fail. You CANNOT possibly uphold all the standards you are told you must in order to attain Heaven, simply because you are human. If you try, you won't make it, I've been there, I've done that. I had so much guilt, fear and shame on myself for things I was doing that I couldn't stop no matter how hard I tried for YEARS. It was only when I broke free from the shackles of organized religion, and realized no God was gonna damn me or burn me forever if I didn't do one thing, or if I did something else, that God does not judge, that all of that went away. So my advice to you is simple. Live your life the best way you can, make choices for yourself based on what is right for you in that moment. If something is not working, then change it. But always do it for YOU, not because a book tells you have to. It'll make all the difference in the world I assure you, and is what true freedom is all about. You can't be free, if you let yourself be limited in what you can and cannot do. Let go of the religion, release yourself from the binds and bondage it has put you in, and simply live. Be free.
