In my area a business license is 20 bucks Quoting: great angelThe work is performing Lawn care on foreclosed homes for the banks. It is your own business so you have to take care of the taxes. It is seasonal, but most of the companies will also have winterizations and other types of maintenance jobs throughout the year. In my area they usually put adds on Craigslist in the labor section. The company I get my orders through paid 36 for a new yard cut, and 25 for a re-cut. If you are unable to cut the yard, like it was to short, or it was still occupied, you get a trip charge (10 bucks for the company i go through) and if it is over a foot tall you bid it. Look for them. You can make pretty good money. Gas and taxes are your responsibility. What are the names of some of the companies? |

Keep checking I think you could also contact the REO (Real Estate Owned) person at local banks to talk about helping the bank keep it's properties in good condition until they are sold. And you could call large and small Real Estate brokers who also are trying to sell properties that have been repossessed or abondoned... |

In most areas however, the banks have a deal cut with the Property Preservation companies, who then need sub-contractors (you and me). This person has good point, I forgot that REO is one of the terms used, so google that as well. |

Quoting: Dr. HouseThus these companies are flooding the market for the banks. Most likely most areas are looking at a similar situation. I agree, lawn care companies are going out of business because homeowners can barely afford to stay in their homes, let alone pay someone else to mow their lawn. PP and REO is done on foreclosed homes, and there is no shortage of those. I used to do work for homeowners, but I have completely stopped doing that type of work. |

This is a great option for people who don't mind cleaning and/or are good with kids. In my state, all you need is a background check and take a class on infant and child CPR and have a county worker verify your home is safe for kids and get your cert. and license. You can keep a maximum of four kids. At $75 per week per child in a military town, you make some decent money. I'd go back to it in a heartbeat if I ever lose this chill gig I have now. |

That means you have to be better and cost effective and provide service better than anyone else. There is always someone to say you can't do something...ask the Wright brothers. |
