Gum infection can and often does cause tooth pain and leads to flu-like symptoms. Also consider ear infection. An ear infection can cause one jaw to become sore, and lead to flu like symptoms as well. Sinuses, ears, throat, nose, all of these things are interconnected thus an infection can jump from place to place, and settle in the jaw, or even in the gum. Quoting: Mister ObviousGo to doc! Mister O, I think the reply the OP was looking for was... You have Radiation Poisoning!!!!..... I smell a Troll!!!! Can the flu cause you to have a tooth ache? Report Abuse 4 years ago Report Abuse peejay Best Answer - Chosen by Asker if you have sinus problems during your flu, this can cause you to have tooth aches. sometimes people become afraid that they have developed a cavity, but after they get over their cold or allergies, their teeth feel much better. Source(s): registered dental assistant [link to answers.yahoo.com] I had the flu last year, and all my teeth hurt like hell too. When I got over the flu, my teeth felt fine, and my dentist said there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. |

Too many mutant strains get passed from using anti-b's - plus I want my own immunity!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1003364Well actually, peppermint tea gave me some relief before I went to the dentist and seemed to ease the swelling and pain. Also try oregano oil-nasty tasting but a natural astringent and may have some natural anit-biotic properties. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1238802 04/01/2011 08:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No SHIT!!! I've been fucked up for a week & now my teeth started aching today, BUT WORSE..... Took my boys to COSI today, 11yr old been having hard cough for a week as well, we were waiting in line and his mouth starting pouring blood & now a tooth sits in a jar, but he swears he had no loose teeth. Then just got back 30minutes ago & he told me the tooth next to the one that fell out is getting real loose. Along w/ everyone on the farm has had a bad cough for least 2days now. God Help us all if this is due to radiation! Ugh I feel like shit! |

But, my teeth feel loose - and they may be moving, I don't know :s I'm happy I'm not the only one, this is the first time this has ever happened to me, I'm a pretty healthy man - and this should not be happening. Thank you for making this thread! This is important. I'm happy I'm not alone! |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 469557 04/01/2011 09:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hate to admit it but I went through something like that and about all my teeth ended up breaking off, and later I had a heart attack. Still don't know what started it, but having high chorestral and clotting blood did not help, but then I was older perhaps than you as in my late 50's back then in 2006. It was weird though but I did not know what to do and kept taking flu medicine and probably should have seen a doctor. It could be somthing internal like that, and well, going through a lot of test by a doctor, is not something like what I could do back then. |

I coulda swore it was my teeth ! This latest flu is an unreported epidemic. It was covering the entire US and most of Europe on the flu map a couple weeks ago. It seems to give most everyone sinus trouble, plus a non-painful lingering cough, and lingering fever. Then when you think you are well, your guts go to heck. Plus, seriously, 100 percent of the people I know, of all ages and social strata have had the same thing in the last 2 months. Seems all the "new flu" last few years has different, multiple, weird-ass symptoms, IMO. Each unique. Almost like... well, you know. |
| nimbus User ID: 1112387 04/02/2011 02:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh yeah, definitely, I've had this! It's your sinuses putting pressure on the roots of your teeth. Go to a health food or vitamin store or pharmacy and get clove oil. Just rub it on your gums. Numbs them right up. Or go here: [link to www.youngliving.com] Works wonders.
