Tracy User ID: 1198157 Australia 04/02/2011 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes I have a bad cold and the other night my jaw/teeth/gums were killing me despite the regular adherence to Ease A Cold and Flu night/day tablets, then Demazin, colloidal silver, neti pot, manipulating the nasal/sinus/ears etc. In the end after hours of face aching...I had 2 panadol...fixed in 5 minutes! Finally I could sleep. Last night I just had a bottle of red wine. I probably couldnt breathe but I passed out as soon as my head touched the pillow and slept for 10 hours straight...no hangover and almost back to normal apart from being grumpy about having to get up and take daughter to tennis lessons...not about having to take her..we just couldnt find her shoes. So...take a couple of panadol/paracetomol...you probably have a sore jaw from holding your gob open to enable breathing..or grinding your teeth due to sinus pain. |

Get really bad sinus and mind believes it is from the teeth. Try rubbing under your ears where there is a slight hollow and down your jawline. If rubbing here increases pain from the teeth then it is referred pain. To ease sinus pain put half teaspoon of salt in your mouth and then take half mouth full of water. Swill around your mouth for a few minutes or longer if you can. At end spit out and rinse with water. Your nose may start to drip badly as you do this just let it drain out and keep swilling. Repeat every few hours until your sinus infection is gone. This works because even a slight increase in salt concentration causes mucus to thin considerably. |

Too many mutant strains get passed from using anti-b's - plus I want my own immunity!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1003364Natural antibiotics are the way to go...I would recommend apple cider vinegar (about a tablespoon 3 times a day, or they also come in pill form if you can't stand the taste, etc) taken daily, this can be very beneficial for many reasons...also raw garlic is an amazing antibiotic...even works great for ear aches (which is what my daughter has been dealing with the last few days)...just squeeze some raw garlic juice into the ear canal and it will fix any ear ache right up ;) |

Quoting: Dr. HouseGum infection can and often does cause tooth pain and leads to flu-like symptoms. Also consider ear infection. An ear infection can cause one jaw to become sore, and lead to flu like symptoms as well. Sinuses, ears, throat, nose, all of these things are interconnected thus an infection can jump from place to place, and settle in the jaw, or even in the gum. Yes, totally sux too Makes me wonder why a Immunization against flu and cold hasnt been created yet. Ive had a flu thats settled in my lungs since November, going on five months of coughing. |

Hey I had that for months prior to December 2010...turned out to be double pneumonia (that doesnt go away by itself it needs antibiotics) and I had no clue...just thought it was a very long lasting cold/cough. I ended up in hospital for a week....so get a lung x-ray! Its the only way to tell apparently. Last Edited by Red Red Whine on 04/03/2011 02:49 AM |

I have been cleared in the past by both Doctor and Dentist... It is just nerve pain and will go away.... |

I felt pressure all through my sinuses and that pressure was even making the teeth on the top-right portion of my mouth hurt. I don't have health insurance, a friend gave me some Penicillin to take, and I took a little allergy medicine specifically for sinuses. Lastly I made a Hot Tottie (Whiskey and hot tea) before I went to bed. Repeated that process for 3 days and I was back to 100%. |

Quoting: Mister ObviousGo to doc! No, its sinus infection. Its just my teeth and gums ache (lack of a better word) like a bitch!!! There are two nerves in the neck that can make it even worse, so if you try pressing your shoulders upwards while pressing your head downwards then it just might help a lot. Good luck ya poor bugger. |

Ended up with my upper palate swollen up and needed three courses of antibiotics. I was as sick as hell from all the infection in my system. Sores coming up all over my body. Doctor was not too happy with me. Bad sinus infections are nothing to play with. I understand you because I used the exact same reasoning. Washing your sinuses out really does help. I get a syringe (without the needle) and use warm salted water with a bit of bicarb added. You may need to do it daily for weeks but it will work. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 18803161 United States 03/06/2014 06:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have had the same experience every time I had the flu. Or, I think that's what it was. But this time, it started with severely sore glands. Which I rinsed often with a fresh garlic tea, warm and cold salt water, and I drank golden seal tea for 3 days. Each day, during the day, I drank "rocket fuel" which is 6 cloves garlic, 1/2 lemon(peel included if it's organic), a thumb size peeled ginger, 1/4 onion, a pinch of cayenne, and two tablespoons honey. The horribly sore glands episode ended in two full days, but the headache, clogged sinuses, and horribly sore gums (all on my left side) lasted 4 days. Then my son made me a green drink of organic romaine lettuce, parsley, and 1 zucchini because that's all the green I had in the fridge except spinach. About 40 minutes afterward, I began to feel so much better. The pain in my mouth stopped almost completely and the feeling that I did have was with much less intensity. The difference in my overall felling of well being was amazing.I think I'll have another one of those green drinks to end this madness. |
