Being a JW was a stepping stone for me, and it was exactly what I needed at that time in my life. I was in desperate need of a strong structured support system and the JW's provided that for me. In time, as I matured, I grew out of it. I never left God, but I left the organization. I still love the JW people, they are some of the finest christians I've ever known. But that lifestyle just isn't for me any longer. I now worship God on my own terms, by myself as I don't need a teacher or any man any longer, the only teacher I need is Jesus.
