And then of course, LDS was continued by Brigham Young in Utah. Joseph Smith died in Illinois, near where I lived as a young man.

He started received visions as a young teenager and I did too. Even entire angels would materialize before me and I always regretted not writing down their names but remember it ended in "EL"

I was young when I walked into a Mormon bookstore and they always had candy up front. I picked up the book in the back of the store (where they had the most advanced titles) and it had a title about the 144,000 Saints and that earth was just one of many future tense that was to be inhabited by the Saints.

Joseph was an enthusiast over Hebrew , which I am too. He named his town Nauvoo, Thou O God seest [me]–and the name "Nauvoo" which means beautiful land.

Although I do not endorse Polygamy, (LDS no longer does endorse polygamy either) I honestly encourage teachers in the supernatural realm to help teach the initiate and the study of Hebrew as a must in their understanding of the Bible...

A post on this subject would be great. I am a fairly recent convert to the church. One of my reasons for joining were that it was a place where my self studied ideas on spirituality and knowledge seems to have a spot. Currently I am struggling with the public scrutiny of the church (Mitt Romney being a current figure) and I also take issue with current LDS church leaders. To try to sort through all the "muck" I am looking to find the true knowledge that lays within this ancient knowledge. Joseph Smith was also a researcher of Egyptian history. I guess it would help to find the spiritual side of my faith by filtering out all the "religion". You are a true brother in knowledge and please keep on doing what you do. I look forward to a post on the LDS Church!
