A Group Who Tortures Autistic Children

A good number of the "therapies" people inflict on Autistic
children might well be considered torture. Autism is not a
behavioral problem. Mostly its a condition of sensory
overload. Imagine someone screaming at you with a bullhorn
while your dressed in cloths made of fiber glass, and in a
room lit by a strobe light.

Supplements help. But many things can be done for the
environment. Remove flickery florescent lights for one.
Autistic kids are often very obsessively curious, rather than
trying to deny them there obsessions, use them to help them
learn.

My grandson has the opposite of what most think of when talking about autism. He's autistic, four years old and can say very little...but he really loves anything loud, bright, banging, and rough play. He smiles so big when he's in that kind of environment. He actually looks for trouble when things are too quiet.

I wonder if it's really the same cause? He does classes each week with therapists, but, not sure what good it is doing so far.
