BOOHOOO Americans under 1st amendment sharia law is legal.Even though in India there is separate muslim\hindu law the constitution states that "the state shall endeavor for a uniform civil code" which has yet to happen [ link to en.wikipedia.org] congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or free excersize thereof--so its legal. ps:i am not a muslim Yeah, it means that US law doesn't care about Sharia law, or Biblical law, or any other theologically based law. It doesn't infringe (unless that law interferes with the rights of another) or support Sharia Law. However, because Sharia Law is incompatible with the constitution, it would have to be a limited Sharia Law practiced voluntarily by those of Muslim faith.
