I Will Now Relay the ONLY UNEXPLAINABLE Incident I've EVER Witnessed In My Life......
It's weird. It's obscure. It's totally fucking random. But it really...happened.

DISCLAIMER: I'm an asshole skeptic shill who doesn't believe in God.

ie, I don't usually post woo-woo bullshit. Ever. I mean, I'm being slighly facetious...but I think you get the point.

This is just something that happened...I can't explain:

IT'S LIKE THIS:
Can't remember the exact year, but it was about 15-20 years ago.

I was with my father in Fenway Park. That's the Boston Red Sox's homefield in Boston. DURING THIS GAME IN QUESTION, we were seated in the right field ROOF BOX SEATS, behind the first base line.

Around...the 4th or 5th inning...in-between innings...I heard this KID WITH A VERY VERY VERY THICK "Bawston" accent to my right, about 4 or 5 seats over. He was around my age (10 or 12). Very loud. Had been talking a lot through the whole game. I found him to be completely irritating.

ANYWAY...this kid...while the Red Sox were taking the field...suddenly says to his dad, again, LOUDLY:

"Hey, dad! Why're they carryin' Fletchah off the field?"

Scott Fletcher was the Red Sox 2nd baseman at the time (I believe he played many infield positions, was a "utility player", but this day he was 2nd base). He wasn't the greatest player...but he was a good player. I liked him.

But he wasn't being carried off the field. No one was. The Sox were tossing the ball around, stretching, doing the usual between-innings-activity...but Fletcher was upright. Manning the area between 1rst and 2nd base. Totally fine.

I thought the kid was nuts. Really did. I thought he was insane. And remarkably irritating.

Next inning, Fletcher got injured in a slide. Got carried off the field.

I swear it happened. To be fair I can't recall the exact play. I'm nearly positive it was a slide. And I can't recall the exact base Fletcher was sliding into (I want to say 2nd). But they carried that fucker off the field and my jaw dropped. I asked my dad, excitedly, if he'd heard the Irritating Psychic Kid with the Southie Accent, too.

But he hadn't. The kid himself didn't even really react. But I was floored. To this day...I can't explain it. I've said a number of times on this site I've never witnessed anything "paranormal" or "unexplainable". But this just popped in my head. The resumption of baseball season is probably what reminded me.

I always forget it happened...

I've only told a few people. Not that it's a big secret. It just is what it is. I'd be very curious what the GLP-verdict on this would be...?

Like I said: weird, random, but I swear it happened. That annoying little kid saw the fuckin' future...

Re: I Will Now Relay the ONLY UNEXPLAINABLE Incident I've EVER Witnessed In My Life......
I've wondered a few times whether there was a "Major League Baseball injury"-catalogue of some kind. A database of what players went on the DL what year and why. I'm sure there is. I recall Fletcher was a bit "injury prone" anyway, but I could be wrong. This was a while ago.

It would be worth looking into if anyone wanted to debunk this. Or confirm it. I'm too lazy.

Can't remember the exact year or the team the Sox were playing either and that makes it a little tougher to pin down also. But Fletcher only played for the Sox for 2, maybe 3 seasons I think. If that. That might help narrow down the game.

Wonder where that kid is now.

His name's probably "Damien" and he's mulling a run for President...

Perhaps his dad was a gambling man and had a tip about a rigged match? Maybe he knew fletcher would go off with an injury? That's the most logical one i can piece together.

It could have been your own vision and the kid didn`t say it at all...even if it seemed real that he did say something you could have actually had a foreshadowing of the event..
