Did the Church oppress the Dead Sea Scrolls?
In their controversial book, The Dead Sea Scrolls Deception, the authors Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh give a theory for the long period of time between the discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls and when their contents were finally made public. They say the church was hiding evidence found in the scrolls that Jesus was a fictional character made up by the apostle Paul, who was a sleeper agent for the Romans.

If the theory sounds ludicrous, it is. These are the two crackpot authors that made up the Priory of Sion. Here’s a read on the Dead Sea scrolls controversy: [link to www.ancientmonks.com]

Re: Did the Church oppress the Dead Sea Scrolls?
what do you think?

Some documents that point out that jesus was more man than the curch has made him to be ? ofc? Now you cant get back to people trying to explain that your beloved jesus might just be a just an ordinary man, with alot of fucked up thoughts.

I mean does any sane person really belive that he fed like 4000 people with 3 loafs of bread and a bottle of wine? Well, evangelical christians might do but people that has an iq higher than a monkey will most likely say "ehhumm.... no i dont think so"

Funny how it was the Jews, and not the Christians who had control over them. The church like all others were kept out of the loop until the artifacts were secure enough to examine them.

Before you try to denigrate the Bible, at least read the passage first and get your facts straight. (Hint, there were two separate miracles, see Matthew 14:13–21, Mark 6:31-44, Luke 9:10-17 and John 6:5-15 for the first and Mark 8:1-9 and Matthew 15:32-39 for the second.)By the way, it is usually unwise to attempt to insult the intelligence of another with a post bereft of accurate information and riddled with spelling errors.
