If there is so much deadly levels of radiation in the Pacific then why aren't there dead fish in numbers coming to shore and how come plant life is still thriving?

I realize I do not understand the true affects radiation has other then cancer but I thought some said a while back that we would know it's bad when the sea and plant dies???
