What is a conservative ? And why wouldnt they want change ?

The bible says that right now in this day and age the world is controlled by Satan. Has been since Eve ..so for a long time. Why would conservative want to conserve that ? Wouldnt they want the world to change so to take the power away from Satan? There is something fishy in this fish whole world. Something is being hidden big time. Groups are not who they claim to be.
