"It wasn't pollution or radiation from Japan that caused thousands of starfish to wash up on the shores of Pawleys Island on Monday night."

Good - we got that out of the way, then.
The UK article has photos which show thousands (not hundreds, as the header states) of starfish on the beach.

What a sad time for humanity we live in.
