I live in an apartment with many Chinese students and they are polite and well mannered. They are studying hard to improve their chances of success in this modern world and particularly when they return to they homeland. That said, it would not surprise me in the least if they attack and overtake the U.S. at some point in the future, but it is hard to say exactly when. They are already attacking and weakening us economically and now militarily. They have very quietly purchased many acres of American land, are a very presence at the Panama Canal. It's just a matter of time before the final takeover of the yellow peoples of the white, black and brown races.

So do all Dogmas and belief systems.

It's no secret that there are many things not OK yet in China and it might take a very long time before they (the majority of people here)come up to some acceptable standards.

Historically, China has not been an invader of other countries. China, on the other hand, has been invaded many times over its long history. What usually happens is that the invaders become more Chinese -...i.e. the Mongols and others from the north and west.

After 5000 years of outsiders invading, China is quite naturally suspicious of outsiders and certainly paranoid about the intentions of other countries. The Chinese suffered horribly during the Japanese invasions of WWII and are not likely to forget any time soon.

Western and Eastern cultures have a different way of thinking and speaking and writing and even their musical scale is quite different from ours. That is not to say that one is better or worse than the other, just different.

The same can be said of jewish people who have a equally long history and brutality. However, most jewish people have been westernized out of necessity and so understand western ways better.

In this century, it is certainly up to us in the USA to begin to understand the ways and culture and thoughts of those in the East just as they still struggle to understand us.

As for 80% who would kill the enemy in war, even women, children, old people and injured people, that is true of all wars and all militaries to some extent.

War is a brutal business and when you are surrounded by the wildest of wolves, you have to become one yourself to even atttempt to survive.

In any war, of course they would kill us - whole cities of us - and we would do the same to them.

And that is the unpleasant reality of war.
