Personally, I have never see the world in such a crisis state, although history has shown WWII, The Great Depression and WWI as such crisis moments. The Black Plague was also nasty.
There is no doubt in my mind that we are in for far more DOOM then all the previous crisis moments. This is just my personal opinion but the world stage is on fire and we are just starting to get burned.
What comes next is the financial impact and collapse, it's already here mind you but we just now starting to see it's effects. It gets far worse with no means to an end.
One would be in total denial if they think the next 5 years will be prosperous ones for Planet Earth.
Not a 2012 believer, but the Fukushima disaster certainly threatens millions, even hundred of millions of people with various levels of damaging radiation. Far worse then Chernobyl.
