Is anyone else bored to death with life?

you live in the chinese curse of "may you live in interesting times"...you may not be paying enough attention

feeling dulled and stunned by the unending bouts of incredulous events doesn't count as "bored"..that's called sleeping sheeple or being pounded into submission ( I've felt that one ),,bored is a bad choice of words maybe.."tired of the onslaught" maybe???


I call the current state of the the world this

you ( that means you) are a turd and you find yourself in the toilet of life....

the toilet is backed up and it's about to overflow but it doesn't ( just reaches the top but doesn't overflow) and you just keep swirling around...it keeps getting flushed but never overflows or goes down...


little bits of crappy toilet paper are continuingly slapping you in the face as you swirl around!!!...it's a constant hurricane shit storm and just when the bowl calms down- some jackass keeps trying to flusk and the whole mutherf"cker swirls around again!!!!

that's my rant...nuff said!!

I hope you are right bc I am also bored out of my mind! I don't know how people seem so engaged in this suburban living soccer mom lamo lifestyle. It's comfortable to the point of braindead. I thought it was just me though

Yes. Yes. Yes.

People yell doom constantly but it rarely materializes and we can't control or change the things that do happen, only respond and cope. So all the interest you speak of is not as stimulating as you make it out to be. In reality we all do the same few tasks over and over again every day, individual lives don't matter and no one will remember our names, but those in our little circles, when we die. We are destined for nursing homes too. It's all been done. We go on because we have responsibilities to attend to.

Theres your problem. If you're alone of course you are bored.
Life isn't boring if you can have fun and enjoy yourself with other people.

If that is not for you then do something else.

Just end it, life isn't boring you just suck as a person.

God I feel so in-tune with what everyone has been saying. It feels great knowing there are other people that feel the same way. I'm tired of always feeling different which is why I put on a facade and act like I'm enjoying myself just so people don't think I'm some whiny loaf that can't just be happy with simpleton things that they find distracting enough.

I also question:"Why do we reproduce?"
Why is the urge so strong?
I usually get obvious answers like, "To perpetuate the human race, dumbass!"
But these people don't understand what I mean.
Of course you reproduce to make more humans--no shit!
But I mean if you go a little deeper than that and ask why.
Just because we need to continue to exist on a rock gravitating in space? WHY? WHY? WHY? What's the point in bringing more people here? There's no purpose to this. Just so we can keep populating the earth and making more slaves? Just so we can "advance" a little and then what the sun dies out and then everyone on earth dies? Then evolution comes into play again on earth or somewhere else and we repeat? WTF. Really?

Play a game! Minecraft, Aion, Darksiders2 are what im into atm xD

So, has this thing happened yet? Some of you keep saying that you feel as though something is happening behind the scenes, that something is coming. Do you still feel this way? Has it happened yet? Or do I have to wait until the end of the year?

I have 2 and I can't tell you why! You're still bored when you have kids, but you just have things you have to do...

Also meant to add that we live too long now. We should be dead at 40 or living natural lives. This air conditioned nightmare is too much!

I've already done the "drop everything and move to an exptic foreign locale" thing, as you can see by my flag. Guess what - all that shit gets old and boring too. Lhasa or Lima or Louisville, Tokyo or Tacoma or Tuscany - just more of the same.

i think the things that are happening nowadays are HIGHLY interesting.

the tectonic stuff going on, the new space discoveries, well the ones they TELL us about anyway. the geopolitical scene. it's fascinating watching history in the making. the technological leaps going on at the moment, that we are ALL a part of. even my own life, the dreams i'm having, the illness it looks like i may have, everything in fact.

we all just need to open our eyes a little more, at what is going on around us.

life is great.

When you present people with this issue, it's funny how unsatisfactory the "optimistic" response always is. 

"Find something you love and make it your life's work" - simply not feasible for most people. Who feels passionate about market research or grocery-clerking or manning a tollbooth or whatever? And yet those are the kinds of choices most people have. 

Then there is the guilt trip response: "Man up, Nancy, suck it up and deal." Why? So people like you will think I'm an "alpha winnah" instead of a complaining loser? Guess what: that'a just another game, trying to manage people's perceptions so they will think well of you. It leads nowhere except to neurosis and more of the same.

How about: "Have some kids, then you won't be bored." No, I won't be...I'll be in a state of terminal anxiety and exhaustion, trying to run the ratrace to scrape up the  cash to support the little brats. I'm not about to replace boredom with terror and struggle. If I cut off my leg, shit would suddenly be a lot less "boring" too. Doesn't make things exactly better, though.

And the ever popular: " do something crazy...drop everything and run to the other side of the world." Like I said above, I've already tried that. It gets old like everything else. Ditto skydiving and sport-fucking sluts, and other solutions that depend on adrenalin or some kind of fleeting physical pleasure.

I've had a dark thought before: Maybe we reincarnate until in one life we realize we've had enough and "take matters into our own hands" to end it. Maybe we are doomed to re-live the cycle of boredom until we do something intentional ourselves to stop it, if you know what I mean. I don't actually believe this is true...but sometimes I wonder.

If there is an answer, it probably has something to do with improving focus and concentration, to the point where you can lose yourself in some kind of quasi- mediative state while you focus perfectly on mowing the lawn or whatever. I've had glimpses of this. Problem is it seems hard to obtain and fleeting, at least for me. The jury is still out... I have no final answers.

Life is boring on Earth because they refuse to print enough paper money for everybody!

Also, the Earth Matrix is based extensive slavery/slave work, the elite won't share their REAL knowledge with their slaves so people FEEL emptiness because of the brain-washing.

While the elite involved in intereting issues (like space travel, meeting aliens, using galactic technology) the slaves are bored to death with too long working hours or being without work.

Earth itself is beautiful BUT the Matrix is made by reptilians and it's slavery-based so it not fits us, we suffer from it and want to leave.

That's sort of what I was getting at. Problem is, that line of thought leads to places like this:
