I am trapped here on earth! HELP!

Mom,
Sorry the death has happened so unexpectedly, although she had a time of knowing albeit very very short. She is slipping into deaths door within 6 days at a hospital in Texas when she normally resided in ILLINOIS but was there on vacation but now with little cognitive mental acuity and even that is ebbing by now from the massive hemorrhage brain stroke that they could not stop the huge bleeding due to the horrible Coumadin drug.
When you 1st meet her because you had to fly from ILLINOIS to be by her side at the hospital bed in Texas she lost the ability to open her eyelids. All tided up with machines and catheters and plastic tubing is pushed slowly aside and you lean down ever so closely to her ear and say "mommy I am here now" over and over again with tears dropping like raindrops atop the pillow. Then you notice her good hand the one the brain stroke did the lesser damage to start to quiver trying to hold my hand. You clutch it tightly and say again momma I am here there is no response but a sudden incontrollable movements of her own hand trying to grab mine shaking so and so unlike the way she was the last time I had seen her beautiful eyes full of love and light, but unable to open them now. I feel erratic clasps holding onto my hand and we were for that moment of time together but I wanted so much more time fearing that every day that would go by we would lose our greatest single gift of love on the earth that God has ever given us. Between the tears and sobs so deep there was no air within my lungs to expel anymore air. There would be no more long talks no more vacations no one I could ever tell my most deepest self to that no matter what I did whenever I seen moms open arms true forgiveness was always available. The holding me so tight and always so happy to see me , the laughs and jokes, the gifts I had bought her from my heart to hers over many years all shone but a twinkle in her eye now. The many more good times and long talks on the phone will be no more neither. We came beckon that 6th day visit and the greatest woman I will ever know, her skin was already cold the machines silent now. No more pain mom, no more pain mom. I Love you mommy with all that I am!! I cannot function now mom without you!! Please God give her back to us to have at least a few short proper goodbyes, but not like this, not like this.....I'd give my own life if I could to bring my mothers life back right now. Everyday since I have become paralized with greif of the joys we will never again share...

That was really touching and heartfelt..sorry about your mother
it does get easier, time does heal wounds. Find joy in the memories you shared and your greif will be less. Hold onto those good memories and believe one day you will meet again.But in the mean time, live your life to the fullest as I am sure she would have wanted you to be happy.
