All the hemp plant does is use the radioactive particulate in the structure in the plant. Three seasons of crops if harvested and buried elsewhere will remove about 1 percent of the active radiation from the soil. If done regularly over 300 - 400 years the radiation level would be low enough to grow other crops that might have radiation levels low enough for people to consume the produce.
