Re: Signs Of Radiation Illness In The US
I went to IKEA yesterday and witnessed kids sick and adults unable to do simple tasks.

OK that sounds like a typical day at IKEA, but yesterday what I witnessed was unusual even for Los Angeles.

We were sitting next to a family and this small child got up and took a few steps then vomited. Of course I didn't think that was unusual but 5 mins later a young boy just dropped. He passed out and vomited a small amount. The parents were holding him and this kid was not looking so good. IKEA called the paramedics.

I was in the store about an hour and most people seemed sluggish and a little out of it.

We had rain a couple days ago and after witnessing how people were acting in public I started thinking these kids may have had more than a flu.

All I can say is, being in the public felt different yesterday. By the time my family got home we were left with such a sadness it was difficult to fall asleep.

I believe I saw more than flu and I'm wondering if other people might be witnessing the same.

This sounds like carbon monoxide poisoning. IKEA should get their air tested. Vomiting and passing out are symptoms..

Re: Signs Of Radiation Illness In The US
Good, well this thread hasn't been entirely shilled out so maybe this'll get through.

I don't have enough empirical data in front of me to determine whether or not what the OP witnessed was as a result of radiation poisoning, but what I can say is that what was described ARE *First Stage* symptoms of radiation poisoning. They can mimic the symptoms of anxiety (which would also be prevalent after a major nuclear disaster) such as vomiting, dry heaving, diarrhea, migraines, confusion and inability to focus.

Those symptoms will reside in a couple weeks. For those that recover (provided exposure to harmful radiation is ABSOLUTELY minimized) there may not be any further symptoms for quite some time...even years. Those symptoms can range from thyroid problems to leukemia and cancer.

For those that do not recover, the same symptoms will return about three to six weeks later, with bloody vomit and stool as well as hair coming out in clumps when brushing or running your fingers through it. Then rashes can appear, skin becomes flaky (like a healing sunburn) and larger red patches that look like burns can appear on the upper and lower extremities. This stage, approximately 8-12 weeks from initial harmful exposure, is extremely painful and there is no hope of recovery.

Radiation is a slow killer. Those who suffer from low attention spans to life-altering situations will die as a result of this.

I hope what you witnessed was the flu or bad Ikea air or something. Because radiation sickness is really an awful way to die. Especially if you're a 6 year old little girl.

Thank you for the honesty. However, I can guarantee you will be shilled in seconds.

Just know someone agrees with you. The one thing the shills are correct about, even if we had concrete proof of where the radiation is or is going, there is nothing we can do to stop it. We can, do what we can to detox, but we cannot escape this. Staying inside is only a bandaid, better than nothing, but still a bandaid.

I watch dutchsinse and whatever weather radiation forcasts that are out there. On heavy days me and the critters stay inside. Powdered milk frozen veges( not out of garden) filtered water. Stay away from areas of run off water. The heavy days I notice I fatigue easier. Got backup iodine pills and liquid for when the whole jap fukushima plant blows. This scenario is not over.

Durin Hiroshima the bodies piled up around mud puddles because they were so thirsty from the burns. I guess this event is a slow burn.

Radiation poisoning...or simply being from New Jersey? Which is the more logical excuse for rude behavior?

But seriously, I am in Illinois (in the jet stream area) and have been outside every day gardening the past few days and have not had any ill effects so far. I am cautious about this issue but refuse to change my whole life around as a result, even if it results in me getting sick. I'd rather be dead than having to live in a hole eating MREs the rest of my life.

people need to begin to take iodine anyhow to fill the thyroid and the other body tissues which use concentrated iodine such as the breast, stomach, prostate, and others. 90 % of the US is iodine deficient anyway, so we need iodine even if there wasn't a nuclear disaster spreading radioactive iodine 131 far and wide. if you are deficient in iodine, the body will quickly take up any iodine- radioactive or not.

I've had loose stools, now my skin is itching, I get sore throats and headaches and feel kind of tired and lazy and not able to do much. I am in NJ.

I have been staying inside a lot. I run out on errands but haven't really spent time outdoors in a while. I can feel the air starting to burn my skin and then I get scared and come back inside or go home.

People are weird here anyway. I did notice something particularly weird though. I was driving up a dead end street sort of slowly and a man was coaxing a little boy on a toy car in the street. Instead of leading the boy over to the driveway or side or slowing, they just stayed in the road at full speed while the guy eyed me like I was about to hit them. I knew I wasn't but I slowed down to almost a stop so he would stop glaring at me. Then I drove past and he looked annoyed that I didn't wave at him. I just was looking ahead because he seemed like a jerk and then he whipped around like he was suddenly offended.

I thought maybe he was just a jerk but maybe it is also the radiation.

Ikea in Elizabeth always makes me nervous. It is too crowded. I just want to get through that maze fast. I always get the feeling that I am about to be trampled in there or crushed to death in a mass of bodies.

Wife, who IS sick, ( LIKE flu ), said more than half the senior citizens at the center have 'flu-like-symptoms' which IS what many have reported in other threads to BE the begining signs of radiation sickness !

That would be in the 'dozens' catagory here in this CT city .

AC Thanks for posting that. I am close to you and I am beginning to feel insane myself. No one is listening and i am not bothering to talk...it's a big waste of breath. I am now on day 6 of intestinal issues. They have leveled out to a doable level, but I feel really awful and it is not going away. I'm not panicing which is bad. I am more resolved that we can't stop this trainwreck.

Today I was speaking to the president of my company on the phone. He was stopping half way through each sentence. I would wait for a painfully long time when he stopped and would then finish the sentence for him. He just said thank you and moved on each time. He is located just outside of NYC.I on the other hand kept forgetting the project numbers we were discussing. I am so tired and am not thinking perfectly myself.

I think the mental issues are more to do with the solar flares than the radiation. At least, that's what we've been told to expect from solar activity; confusion, inability to focus, etc.

Just as I got to the school to pick up my daughter, the bottom fell out of it. I got rained on running to the school and we both got rained on running back to the car. For the first time in my life, I actually considered making her get a shower as soon as we got in. Then, I decided I was probably being a bit paranoid and didn't need to scare her. I just don't know how seriously to take this radiation scare. No, I don't trust that the government (either our or Japan's) is being up front with the dangers, but I don't exactly want to turn into a hermit afraid to leave the house.

Not sure what area you are in, but strep is running rampant in middle tn. That will produce a headache. I've been sick on my stomach for a few days and have had a headache today. Not sure if it's PMS related or early strep - that's usually how strep starts with me. The kid never gets it, but is usually a carrier and brings it home.

Could also be pollen related, too. For the past few days, they've reported us as being in a "high pollen" zone - even with all the rain.

I went to a boys birthday party Saturday in Texas and out of about ten kids, 6 of them were exhibiting obvious symptoms of radiation poisoning, throwing up, dry heaves, headaches, mental confusion and unusual behavior, like they're brains weren't working right. I got sick too, with the dry heaves and a headache. The few that weren't sick were inside types with pasty white skin, a dead giveaway as to why.

It is my opinion they were suffering from acute radiation sickness and a severe fallout problem is being covered up to prevent the collapse of the economy.
