Next time you're in the drive thru line to pick up your burger, biggie fries and coke, pay the tab for the guy behind you.

This also works in a sit-down restaurant. Pick someone at random and tell your waiter you'd like to pay his bill. Be discreet. The karma is much more powerful if you remain anonymous.

Thanks lets all make it happen. I know it can be done. We all have a week to get it together. The Human Kindness Project. Saturday April 23, 2011. I just thought of that name; let me know if it is a good one. We will rock the Global Consciousness Project EGGS off the chart. We can make it happen. Here it is "The Human Kindness Project". Saturday April 23, 2011. GLPers I know we can do it. Spread the word. :-) Any Ideas welcome. While others fight evil, we will bring in the Kindness. Here it is again.

"The Human Kindness Project". Saturday April 23, 2011.

Until then be Kind and show the world we care.

Peace GLP Brother and sisters.

Any Ideas welcome.

"The Human Kindness Project". Saturday April 23, 2011.

We can monitor the Project on that day on the site below

[link to noosphere.princeton.edu]

Scroll down and under Event Description go to Number 57 the Global Group Mind Meditation and look at the results and info. Or just click here

[link to noosphere.princeton.edu]

This is just an example.

This site we can measure the results of the experiment. You can also see info by the day. If there is enough interest I will email the GCP and see if I can get them to chart the day. One can look at the day anyway so either way we can monitor the results.

Current activity link
[link to gcpdot.com]

We can change the name or date to whatever anyone likes. The above is just a suggestion.
You dont know that.

Re: Can 1,500,000 + visitors doing one act of kindness change the world?
If you are doing something because you have the intentions of accomplishing an act of kindness, is it really an act of kindness?

Kind things just happen in the moment because they are the right thing to do. If you go around looking for them you're just doing it to feel better about yourself, and that's selfish, and that's not kind (well, except to yourself).

Hey, does a kind act to yourself count?

What if we were all just nicer to ourselves? Wouldn't that accomplish the same thing?

Re: Can 1,500,000 + visitors doing one act of kindness change the world?
Not only will we experience the kindness effect individually, but it may be possible to measure it. It will take a lot of people I think to move the EGGS, but I truly think we can do it. How cool would that be. Even if the EGGS remain the same it is still a win project for all.
You dont know that.

All good questions. Remember as stated early on n my post there are far brighter people on this site than myself. I will try to answer them all and remember the answers are only my opinion.

If you are doing something because you have the intentions of accomplishing an act of kindness, is it really an act of kindness?

Yes If the Kindness occurs then it is Kindness regardless of how you intend to do it.

Kind things just happen in the moment because they are the right thing to do. If you go around looking for them you're just doing it to feel better about yourself, and that's selfish, and that's not kind (well, except to yourself).

I agree but I do not think one needs to search as the opportunity exists everywhere.

Hey, does a kind act to yourself count?

Yes why not.

Again only my opinions

Re: Can 1,500,000 + visitors doing one act of kindness change the world?
"The Human Kindness Project" or call it what ever you like, will be about you and your kindness to others. Nothing really more than that. Pretty simple. How long does it take to be kind to someone? Someone you know, someone you dont know, I dont think it matters as long as the intention of kindness is there. I could even be a kind thought about someone you know.
You dont know that.

Truth, if the molecular structure of water can be changed with a thought of Love and Gratitude imagine the effect kindness will have on an individual. We are 70 to 95% water depending on the age of the person.

Re: Can 1,500,000 + visitors doing one act of kindness change the world?
Maybe I am missing something while I am out or driving around or out in public. I believe we have become too wrapped in life to take the time to be kind to one another. One only needs to look at the world around us. Sure there are many that are kind to others, but does anyone here think it is truly a kind world in which we live? Could it not be a better place?
You dont know that.

Re: Can 1,500,000 + visitors doing one act of kindness change the world?
The key may be expecting nothing in return. We all know this, but why is it not happening more often? Again am I just not seeing it? We all know a lot of things but never really do anything about it. It is even to the point that some people question kindness. Why was this person kind to me, what does he or she want from me. Maybe I am delusional in thinking that we as a race could do something as simple as being kind to one another. Maybe that one day would continue, as I hope it would, and we as a race could change the world one person at a time.
You dont know that.

Didnt make it on the way in, but did it on the way home. The guy at the drive thru window did say that was really nice and smiled. I could see a smile on the peoples face. So it was good. As you know they did not know me. Thanks for the tip :-)

Re: Can 1,500,000 + visitors doing one act of kindness change the world?
Well, looks like the end of a dead thread, no chance to measure the effect due to the response. There is really no need to measure anyway as we all know the effect kindness has on others. I just thought it would be a cool idea to measure in real time and show the world that WE changed the world with kindness, even if it was just for that one day. Last request. There really is no need to ask that we be kind to each other as I know many of you are, but as a reminder I will anyway. All I ask is that WE all TRY to be kind to each other and maybe the world will change for the better. The universe is never random, nor is kindness and people truly are good. I believe that everything happens for a reason and it is always for the good. What happens in an instant, may take a lifetime to understand, but in the end there is always good that comes from it. Thanks all for reading, and special thanks from the untamed one for jumping in, you gave me hope that this experiment would be possible. I thought there were more like you out there.

hf

Thanks again and Peace brothers and sisters.
