Most regular GLP members understood full well that the earlier official ranking of 5 which was comparable to the Three Mile Island radiation leak was purely propaganda, as there was no explosion, and no visible damage to the containment dome over the Three Mile Islands reactor.

Yet we also understand from the use of MOX fuel, and over 600,000 used yet still highly radioactive fuel rods that were brilliantly still being stored at the Fukushima Daiichi Complex that this is already way past a Chernobyl level event.

Thus the INES needs a new number scale quickly like 7.5: As in last weeks seawater samples that showed radioactive iodine at levels 7.5 million times over safe limits in the Pacific Ocean offshoe of Fukushima.
