For myself its just a matter of faith.
I believe that everyone knows in their heart that God is real.
Until I was about 27, and to the best of my knowledge and memory, I was completely unable to glimpse anything supernatural with any of my 5 senses, that could not be explained as having been either a natural or contrived experience fully possible within the known boundaries of reality and science. Yet still, because of my upbringing and education, I chose to maintain faith, precariously clinging to it at times, and seemingly losing all hope at other times, but Faith and Hope always returned. Even through the times when it was clear to me that doing what i knew was the wrong thing would be both the easiest and most profitable, something in my heart just continues trying to turn me away from that road. Not that I am faultless and without guilt for the things I have done wrong, but theres never any harm in trying to do what I know is right.

I don't mean to preach at you, and I don't know your religious background, but if your beyond exasperation, maybe you should take the time and do some studying on your own and see what it is that you believe in, instead of worrying what others think. A good friend once said to me about a really religious person he worked with "The F-ing guy is like 'goto church Sunday- Harm your brother monday'"

and when your ready and if you havent done so already, Take a Bible open it up and read it from beginning to end LIKE A BOOK. Instead of getting sidetracked by people who quote scriptue and preach to you but FAIL to give sound advie on what I have found was the greatest thing I ever did.

Thats the best way I could put that into words for you atm. And, now I must drink many beers and make the bad people go away.
