My Neighbor Trapping our Cats
What do we do? They are using fancy feast in the trap. They said their dog is eating cat crap and it's giving him stinky breath, that's the reason.

buy shock collars, pay attention to your cats the next few times you let them out.. zap them if they get close to that neighbors property... or get one of those invisible fence deals to do it for you.

or call animal control/police to go over and have a chat with your insane boundary-less neighbor.

or just keep your cats inside from now on.

Re: My Neighbor Trapping our Cats
Have you called the city? What do they do with the cats after they trap them? Believe me or not, I have a Maine Coon we trained to stay in the backyard. I must say the dogs do relish whatever he leaves there. I just make sure I never kiss them on the mouth, lol.

A friend who lives in an apartment told me his neighbors have stolen his cat several times. They think the cat is in danger outside or some such story. I'll have to ask if they're still doing this.

Keep your damn cats on your own property!

Leash laws apply to dogs AND CATS!

I have a trap and I WILL trap your cat if it comes in my yard.

Millions, and millions, and millions of songbirds are killed each year by the 'domesticated' cat, and I am tired of it.

It is PERFECTLY LEGAL to trap unwanted animals on your own property.

I guess the nice thing would be to take them to the local pound; if the owners care enough -- which they don't or they wouldn't let them roam -- they can pay the fine and get them out.

Then I'll trap them again.

If it's the same cat repeatedly, it gets a nice ride to the city 70 miles away and set free at some junk yard.

Problem solved.

Instead of laying around all day flicking yer bean, eating ho ho's and and hoarding cats YOU might consider trying to get in shape so you can get a man and fill that HOLE in you with something besides cat hair and carbs...

southern boy born and raised here. and i agree with him, if I have to keep my Lab on a leash and off your property then you should have to do the same with your cat. and I am not a cat hater, my roomate has one and my GF has two but they keep theirs in our space not let them room in other ppls yards.

They are not deadly traps people, most animal controldepts will lend you one for free, they catch them alive and then you take them to the pound where hopefully they are euthanised before the irresponsible owner notices the filthy thing missing. Of, they just get another cat and the cycle continues! the circle of life, how profound...

yes, i am glad the neighbors know better than letting cats out. Yes cats live longer are healthier if indoors only.

Every time I see a "lost cat poster" here it is so sad. Everyone knows cayotes, hawks love these fuzzy lovable creatures.

Letting cats out is for stupid, clueless, heartless people in this neck of the country.

If you love thy cat, do not let him out unless supervised.

What is so hard for you to understand? Do you let your dog out to roam freely? Treat your cat the same.

I dont have pets anymore and i have to replace my wooden front door because of other peoples cats..the bastards are pissing and crapping in my property and i have to spend MY money to clean everything.
I love animals but when you are sitting there watching someones cat taking a dump in your garden or pissing on your vegetable garden..what would you do?
As far as this person catching your cats on their property..YAY !!!!
If you have a pet , it is you that has to keep it in your own property.
People dont give a shit when they leave their pets out and let them roam..
I hope you get a fine from your local council
