this is conditioning us to feel okay about having planes/drones flying overhead taking high-resolution images of everything. this story is aimed at associating 'Camera Planes' with 'helping FBI solve murders'.
it may be common-place in the near future to have regular-scheduled drone imaging patrols to police can use them to 'review crime scenes' or some such bullshit.

The FBI is deploying high-tech aerial photography in the hunt for more bodies dumped by the killer or killers who have buried at least 10 victims along miles of Long Island beach.
Officials with the Nassau County Police Department announced Thursday that the search will focus on a 40-acre area not easily accessible by foot. Authorities said they identified "a significant number of items that aren't natural for the area" during a helicopter search earlier this week.
An FBI spokesman told FoxNews.com that a fixed-wing plane with high-resolution photo imaging will conduct flyovers of the area Thursday. The spokesman, who declined to provide many details, said the equipment will "give an overhead view of a large area" as well as help detect possible human remains.
