Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1322491 United States 04/14/2011 11:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Even though the article is three years old, once again The Donald TELLS THE TRUTH: "I think [Obama's] going to lead through consensus," continued Trump. "It's not going to be just a bull run like Bush did. He just did whatever the hell he wanted. He'd go into a country, attack Iraq, which had nothing to do with the World Trade Center and just do it because he wanted to do it." |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1322491 United States 04/14/2011 11:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | figure of speech to dramatize a point? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1309404Odd way of putting it. Many people "praised" Obama in his first foray into office as a gesture of open-mindedness and hopefulness for the new president. Nothing controversial about that. It's really misleading because people won't realize it was three years old unless they bother to look. |
Burt Gummer User ID: 1310405 United States 04/14/2011 11:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen and must be a HUGE mistake: Quoting: Base_DisclosureTop of Drudgereport: YESTERDAY: TRUMP PRAISES OBAMA; BUSH 'EVIL' [link to www.ny1.com] --- The article is from NOVEMBER 2008, with Trump discussing Bush and why Obama won, he goes on to say, "I think he has a chance to go down as a great president. Now, if he's not a great president, this country is in serious trouble," said Trump. Seems pretty congruent with what he's saying NOW. The HEADLINE seems to suggest he's completely flip-flopped on his views on Obama, which have been very harsh as of late. Except the article is THREE YEARS OLD! OP...you are DENSE. Drudge is pointing out HYPOCRISY and how The Donald did a 180 with Obama. Last Edited by Useless Cookie Eater on 04/14/2011 11:08 PM |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1322491 United States 04/14/2011 11:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Practically everyone was hopeful Obama would do well. Trump mediated his comments by saying if Obama wasn't a great president, it would be a disaster for this country. So there you go, that's awfully consistent. Trump's said all along he HOPES Obama does well, HOPES he has a birth certificate, but that's not squaring with reality. I just think the headline is very misleading, because it suggests Trump COMPLETELY changed his tune from "yesterday" to now, just for political reasons. |

It's totally misleading. I don't know what Drudge's angle is, but MORONS will read that and think, "OH, so now he's against Obama now that he wants to be Prez?" The article was quoted DAYS after the 2008 election, and Trump even goes so far as to add the REFRAIN that IF Obama is NOT a great president, it will be a disaster for the country. Now what has he been saying after THREE YEARS of watching this guy? Obama's a disaster for the country and he is! Obama's FAILED. Obama DIDN'T turn out to be great. So Trump's actually been unebelivable honest, non-partisan and direct through all of this, especially the Bush years, in which he spoke the truth about what a criminal he is. |

Quoting: IlikecandyHow about if you were for assault weapon ban, waiting period, & background check in 2000 and you are anti-gun control now? Well, there's an excellent point. That is flip-flopping, of course. Mitt Romney is the most notorious offender I can think of. But I really don't put much stock in who is Democrat, who is Republican, from even year to year. It's just irrelevant, and in an election, of course you'll see certain candidates change sides simply because a Democrat trying to win the nomination is not even realistic. It's something they call "realpolitik". But when Trump says he's pro-life... ehhh... I'm not a big believer. I'm also not going to BEGRUDGE him for changing certain positions, because I realize that to WIN, you HAVE to change position. You MUST cater to the right-wing of the party or you have NO HOPE. You must become more MODERATE after the primaries. At least, at this point, Trump appears to be smart enough to know what is necessary. The man has already won my loyalty and heart after his voiciferious damning of the Bush Administration. |
