Exactly, if you have a cell phone, credit card, GPS in your car etc., they know where you are and what you're doing. The govt is kinda like Santa, he knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows if you've been bad or good...

I've been through all sorts of background checks for various security related positions. My image, name, and all associated numbers are well-known to TPTB. Having them connect one of my online avatars to that identity portfolio doesn't really concern me all that much.

I have a job that requires state licensing and a national background check so they already know everything about me. They already know everything about anyone who comes to this site and others like it. All they need is your IP address and they can track you. You can't live your life being paranoid. If you have a drivers license, social security number, home telephone, utility bills, etc, they know who you are already and they already have your picture.

My father always advised against having a picture taken and would never pose for one himself. But we're all on a DL or military ID somewhere. I'm glad my face burned off in a chemical fire back in 94.

I am not the least bit worried about having my pic in that thread. If someone wants to come after me it would be super easy, photo or not.

Even without a pic anywhere on the web a person can be singled out and everything about them found out.

Talking of facebook... the fact that GLP has a facebook 'like' button on each thread means that facebook (CIA/Israel?) can see EVERY page you look at on this and most other sites... It's not intentional on GLP's part - it's just a logical conclusion knowing a little bit about how FB operates.
