20 miles off the coast of new Orleans is a huge oil tanker offloading center. They offload the crude there into pipelines that bring it into the main land for processing into gasoline. not to mention the fact that new Orleans makes / stores most the petro chemicals needed to refine crude into gasoline.
It is going to be destroyed.. totally!
this is going to affect everyone everywhere
but if you live in the south east you will get the worst of the gas shortage after this storm. |

i think there will be damage to producing structures - platforms
find a map showing offshore platforms in the gulf.
i think there is several terminals for loading and offloading gasoline and barges for miss.
this beast has passed anything had in the usa in recent history. |

Wow... this will be a fantastic excuse to attack Iran. May be there is no need for another 9/11 before attacking Iran.
With the oil production at a stop. They need to find oil elseware quick.
All tptb need to do is to claim that it was a Muslim GOD that did this and hence attack Iran as a revenge on a Muslim GOD.

i have been wondering just what is in this area(of the hurricane) that tptb want so much to destroy!
oil is a good answer, but i have a sneaking sense there might also be something else...
like maybe a place, where certain ones gather(possibly enemies of tptb)? SOMETHING!
...because i see this category 5 storm and pictures of homestead run through my mind...not even trees left standing.
there is something so damn important, the global ptb MUST destroy it if possible!

Iīve been watching the news, and they said the same thing about the oil. Letīs just hope the people will be safe and the oil isnīt impacted too hard. I hope the storm dies down, and I hope everyoneīs got themselves out of there. |

Troops out in the streets.
People hungry and angry.
People clash with troops.
Civil war in the area.
Lootings, killings, people back to animal behaiviour in order to survive.
People angry with government.
Bush refusing to help.
Bush more intrested in Iran and grabing their oil.
Some will support Bush because they want Iranīs oil since they have lost 1/3 of their rigs.

Just reported that all oil facilities are shut down, locked down. They have no idea how long it will take to start back up, months maybe. |

The mayor of New Orleans just stated on Msnbc that if this storm knocks out thier oil port facility Trinity mentioned it will result in an immediate 2 dollar a gallon increase in gas!!!!
Than he tried to back out and said "but I donīt want to speculate"!
Too late to back up now fool!!!!!

Good will come out of this.
This is short term pain but fantastic news for the world. Sorry, people, but it is. Here in the UK we are paying nearly a pound a litre for petrol and itīs mostly through tax imposed by the government to cut out petrol usage. Itīs been in place for many years.
The US has done bugger all to cut back and now nature is going to protect us all as well as itself.
Yes, this will be painful for you, but this hurricaneīs strength comes from the warm waters which are themselves a product of the pollution that the US is largely responsible for. So, see it as big Momma smacking your on the bum and telling you that you are naughty boys and girls and itīs time to become responsible and join the rest of the responsible world in taking care of this planet of ours.
Great, great news if it takes out the oil. I hope it does in a huge way. That is the wakeup that the US needs.
Donīt get me wrong, I donīt wish ill on anyone, but this is a case of a tiny but controlling group of people in the US destroying our planet, i.e. wishing ill on everyone else. Now hopefully things will change.
Good will come out of this. |

In addition there might be good possibility that the planned 9/11 type disaster by tptb might be shelved since peoplīs attention will be else ware.
This act of nature might be for a reason. Perhaps it will prevent a bigger disaster that might lead to WW3.

the leaders, President Bush and cabinet should declare this a time of natural disaster, and he can ration it, and insist the price be lowered, rather than us having to worry about paying $5.00 per gallon, put a price control on it temporarily,

Maybe not very much. It could take up to 6 months for flooding to subside and 120 days to get the pumps working again per CNN.
It could be an underwater wasteland. No people left to riot and loot. Alligators and snakes swimming through what was once a city. And the waters will be contaminated with sewage, chemicals from the chem plants, and oil. More like a no manīs land. |

God I have been wondering all day about what just happened to all the rigs off the coast where the cane is now. I just went to the gas station and filled my tank to the top. Oil and gas might hit through the roof this week. Fill up now, because you might not have the chance later this week, or it might cost you a small fortune to do so. |
