Actually I was looking at that last night Shad, and thought 2-3 weeks, though it depends on if 1618 falls apart or not. With the last M-flare today from there, that means it is fully facing and and still was able to pop one off. If it hadn't of popped that M-flare I would have thought it was further away.

Makes me wonder about the rest of this week thru Tuesday??

I think it is going to be picking up again very shortly Mikey. While I was taking banana break out of the oven about 20 minutes ago, something felt like it shifted. No ringing ears nor headaches, nothing like that. I guess it was what y'all call energy but it felt big to me. Even turned on Fox to see if something happened.

Oh I know, "Luke, there was a disturbance in the Force." lol

As one of the posters stated on first link: Warning?? Not sure but if that was on the coast it would really hurt eastern USA and Central and South America

Thanks for the links Tauranga...not so familar with the Africian continent! Seems like the "ring of fire" is where most of the movement is and since it is close to home that is where I focus on.

i am not very familiar with the african continent either, but i happened to see these vids the other day, when i was posting other quake vids on my thread

so my alarm bells went off when i then saw the threads about the 9.0 africa quake that disappeared...

i saw a suggestion somewhere that this quake could have been thousands of kms deep, and therefore may not show on global seismos, (could this make it possible for it to not have been so obvious a quake??)

thoughts FOG??

2.6 here in Alabama yesterday, finally reported by USGS, they usually ignore these on this side of the Miss. river.

With all the activity in the southern end of the GOM, looks like the GOM plate theories may be coming into play here soon. One large event like the sinkhole going boom, and we will get domino effect from Central America to the Great Lakes.

Sorry, just got home. This gentleman has been a client of ours for 6 years, at the end of every growing season we take a day or longer and go over all his properties and evaluate what we'll change for next year. I called him this afternoon to set up our meeting for next week. He said they had a change in plans and would be going to Boulder for the holiday. I asked if he'd like to meet the following week and he said that they were going for an extended stay, the whole family. Now he's got 2 kids in High School,and he's staying for an unknown time. I explained to him we had a short window before our evaluation would be for naught and we would have to schedule it for early spring. His exact words were, that might not be possible, and before I could question him he thanked me and my firm for the dedication to his property and told me to take good care of myself and that was it. Now that probably means nothing, but something went off in my head as he's got many companies in the central US and is extremely hands on, plus he's got a large local family that spends all holidays together at his ranch.
I know the arborist at his estate in boulder and am dying to call the guy but am going to give it a few days and figure out a way to find out the scoop. It could be something personal, family issues, etc..., but knowing him he would have given me a general reason. My poor conspiring head .lol

Some are going and some are staying. Tried to make a Thanksgiving journey to see my son and my Dad, but they both live across the Mississippi River....son in Georgia and my Dad between Vicksburg and Natchez in Mississippi. I kept thinking about that doggone sinkhole and that new madrid fault and I just couldn't do it. Had to call them and change plans. Son got very annoyed with me and I know I sounded like a nut, but oh well, I'm his mother and I am allowed.

I can hike a long way to get home, but don't think I could get around that river it it blows.

Strange feeling, though, to actually honor that under toad and not over ride it.

Staying put here in the Ozarks.

Wow, are you in a safe place Taur. I think many things are getting ready to go off, either that or I'm fixating on things way to much. Have you ever stepped back to see if all your postulations may just be an over compulsive disorder.lol Todays been a very weird day for me.
