I've realized there are many things to be done my dear friend and I'm putting off these things by to much contemplation. I feel action is needed on my part and look to make a difference. I'll be back I'm sure. I'm not an activist just a realist, and I need my viewpoint to be heard with many others. Our world , our beloved planet is in decline. Our politicians are souless. Voices must be raised. I want to ascend to beauty,I must make a difference. My children need to know the joy I spent growing up in the outdoors with a loving community behind me,can't let these days get any darker. One voice though small, carries a huge VIBRATION!

Thank you for every single one of your amazing, loving and thoughtful posts Shad. Have to admit that tears are flowing now to hear that you will be sharing less here but its understandable and I feel the time is right for action as well. You have graced the world with knowledge and shined the light of truth and integrity for us all to better navigate these times. I send much gratitude to you and Gabe, to all the wonderful souls gathered on our 'special' threads. If you need anything please don't hesitate to PM me. I would move mountains to be of service.... take care of your self and your children. Yes,raise the vibration dear friend and we'll be doing the same!

Hiker rescued after days pinned under rocks
RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- Rescue workers saved a hiker who was trapped under rocks for as many as eight days without any food and water, according to firefighters.
Hiker Ramon Llamas and his German shepherd-mix "Molé" discovered the man about 8:30 a.m. PT (11:30 a.m. ET) Monday on Mount Rubidoux in Riverside, Calif.
"I said to the guy, 'You need help? Are you OK?' When he reacted, he says, 'Somebody there? Please don't leave me. Don't leave me,'" Llamas said. "'You got some water?' And I gave him water, and a minute later, he said, 'You got some more?' Are you by yourself? 'Yeah, I'm a tourist here. I'm hungry.'"
About an hour later, rescue workers were able to free the 44-year-old man whose foot was pinned under rocks. He was hospitalized with symptoms of dehydration.

Monitoring Level of Hekla raised from green to yellow
No visible signs of eruption is imminent

The Icelandic Meteorological Office has increased monitoring points Hekla of air traffic from green to yellow in line with increased activity in the area. Subsequently, the Civil Police and the Hvolsvöllur expressed confidence level. From 10th March 2013 have been seven small tremors with the epicenter about 4.5 miles northeast of peak of Mt. They are the size range of 0.4 to 1 and about 11-12 km depth. These earthquakes are traditional breaking earthquakes and show no signs of magma movement. Such earthquakes have previously been on similar paths between eruptions in Hekla, but they have been an unusually high number now for several weeks. expansion measurements in boreholes with continuous GPS measurements in the vicinity of Mt show no land changes. Increased seismicity at Mt recent weeks are the only measurable changes and still can not conclude that it is complete. Changes in color coded Hekla of air traffic from green to yellow is only because of this increase in seismicity is not common in the area. There are no visible signs that the eruption is about to happen.

Re: F.O.G.
Melting Ice Means No Dinner for Polar Bears—So They’re Eating Each Other
Every fall, polar bears gather on the edge of the bay, waiting for the ice pack to completely form. Over the winter, they hunt seals and store up fat reserves. In late spring, when the ice begins breaking up, they return to the onshore tundra, where there are no seals, to spend the summertime “melt season.”
This new study, however, found a “trend towards earlier arrival of polar bears on shore and later departure from land, which has been driven by climate-induced declines in the availability of sea ice,” the authors wrote.
“Changes to the timing of migration have resulted in polar bears spending progressively longer periods of time on land without access to sea ice and their marine mammal prey,” said the team of Canadian researchers led by University of Alberta biologist Seth Cherry. Investigators analyzed “sea ice dynamics” and compared them with polar bear migrations, tracked via data collected from satellite-linked collars, between 1991–1997 and 2004–2009.
“The links between increased atmospheric temperatures, sea ice dynamics, and the migratory behavior of an ice-dependent species emphasizes the importance of quantifying and monitoring relationships between migratory wildlife and environmental cues that may be altered by climate change,” they concluded.

Don't know where my post went but here it is again. Something to tug at your heart strings

Man Finds Baby Squirrel in Bag of Mulch

A man in Florida opened a new bag of mulch and, to his surprise, he found a baby squirrel inside. On nope, he is known only by his handle, "Nadtacular," but now the world is starting to know him because of his compassion. The baby squirrel was alive when he found it, and he decided to care for it and document its development.
Nadtacular posted images of the baby squirrel, which he named "Zip," on nope. The first image was from when he discovered Zip; the subsequent images follow Zip's growth from hairless baby to a fun-loving 5-week-old. So far, Zip's pictures have been viewed more than 215,000 times on nope.
People on nope are asking Nadtacular to continue posting pictures so they can watch little Zip grow up. Other people are asking Nadtacular about Zip's journey. One post reads, "I want to know how it ended up in the bag. And how it survived till you found it."
There is no definitive answer to how baby Zip found its way into the bag of mulch, but it's safe to say Zip appears to be enjoying his new home.
