Tropicalgirl,
Thank you for posting on the Assumptions thread! I follow that thread every day. I have only replied a couple times on threads after many years. I call myself a learner not lurker:)
Your dragonfly and talking about your brother in that thread led me to this thread. You mentioned your friends on the fog thread and I know through you I am writing on this thread. I have dragonflies around myself and our home constantly. There have been times when cutting grass, a group of them hover over me, going back and forth with me the entire time. I have many stories to share and just could not find a place to do so
and I think I have found it. Thanks again for making the mistake:)

In a rare depature, this article is not going to focus purely on technical issues, athough a few will slip in. To date, Texas Brine claims no damages have occurred, and no injuries. I am writing today, to show this is not true, and to get the story straight from two of the homeowners in Bayou Corne.

Hey TG here's one for your neighborhood look at the pics!

Huge mako shark caught from Florida beach
Surf fisherman catches and releases estimated 550-pound shark

Will Smith—the fisherman, not the actor–was fishing for sharks past midnight on a Florida beach a couple weeks ago when his reel started singing as the line started racing out to indicate a huge fish. He strapped on a fishing harness and, with the help of Bill Dunlop, held on for a 45-minute battle that resulted in a prized catch.

Smith beached a behemoth mako shark measuring 10 feet, 8 inches in length with a 60-inch girth. The expert shark anglers measured the massive mako and took the incredible photos you see here before reviving and releasing the shark, so there isn’t an accurate weight.

But according to some weight-estimate formulas, a mako measuring 10 feet to the fork of the tail with a 60-inch girth would weigh 540 pounds.

The content is not anything that hasn't been discussed...and oftentimes, after we have had a bigger CME the main stream media trots out their experts to remind the public of the possibilities.

I think what's interesting is that this is being discussed when very little action is going on. Also note the little info gathering tool at the bottom. I think it's more about THAT than anything....getting a sampling of the public.
 Quoting: moxiechick

Or maybe their websites are giving false info in the first place. I have seen many times where solar wind disturbance being very high with no indication of a solar cme or flare showing up on the web sites. Just a thought.

NOAA released report saying second peak would-be smaller if it happens. The question she asked...are you going to be a prepper or just watch the Aurora borelis....almost makes me think they are trying to get people to prep....in a subtle way.
Cold will keep coming without a second peak.
 Quoting: imjustsayin

They say theres a second peak, but the dipole strength is singing a different tune. the north is already into its transfer the south is holding on. The only real energy will be released when the south pole flips and the magnetics become jumbled. One thing to consider if our heliosphere is taking in the magnetic signature of the cloud this may be whats causing the magnetic death of sunspots earth facing.
We can have an event at any time really the percentages go down tremendously 3 to 6 months after actual polarity swap.
I find it very odd that they keep this going, it has to be for the sheep. I have guys at work talking about the chance for super flares, when I explain to them the actual state of the sun they look at me like I don't know what I'm talking about because the mainstream keeps spouting the same rhetorical replay.
Nasa hasn't really ever addressed the sunspot decline earthside now going into a year of decay. Something of this magnitude and they give no real explanation. They talk about the possibility of a long minimun but nothing on the 60 degress of sunspot failure.

They all have an agenda!

Well, a CME from the sun, whether from a flare or a filament, if Earth facing and large enough, could take down the electric grid of the whole world during a 24 hour period. How bad it could be would depend on how large the CME is. Also, it wouldn't necessarily be just one blast, as many who follow the sun's activity know, it at times sends several waves at us at a time. Said that for those who have back up plans to their preps for CME's or even EMP's (which are man made), wait a week or so before trying to use your back ups or they could get fried also.

The Carrington Event of 1859 was during low sun activity. Can't remember if it was during the solar minimum or in between max and min, but it was NOT during the solar max for that cycle.

Why they are talking about it now, I haven't a clue when many are coming to the conclusion that our current cycle already reached Max last fall for the north and now the sun is heading to max or has just passed it also. Anything that turns Earth facing that shows the promise of decent activity (we need the activity to strengthen our magnetic field which protects us from solar radiation and cosmic rays), just dies and decays. No one can answer WHY that is happening unless it is Fluffy influencing it, like many on here have been wondering for a while now.

That is just the .0002 cents worth of my opinion, lol hf

 Quoting: whiteangel

Thats a very good sign as the dipole strength wanes.

Meridional flows on the Sun's surface carry magnetic fields from mid-latitude sunspots to the Sun's poles," explains Hathaway. "The poles end up flipping because these flows transport south-pointing magnetic flux to the north magnetic pole, and north-pointing flux to the south magnetic pole." The dipole field steadily weakens as oppositely-directed flux accumulates at the Sun's poles until, at the height of solar maximum, the magnetic poles change polarity and begin to grow in a new direction.

These spot reversals show this weakening

BREAKING UPDATE Apr8th, 24th case / 7 deaths from H7N9 in China. Bloomberg reporting airborne properties
[link to www.bloomberg.com]

hi
Have a great day!
 Quoting: AC 5341

H7N9 bird flu may mutate 8 times faster than regular flu, study finds
The new bird flu could be mutating up to eight times faster than an average flu virus around a protein that binds it to humans, a team of research scientists in Shenzhen says.

Dr He Jiankui, an associate professor at South University of Science and Technology of China, said yesterday that the authorities should be alarmed by the results of their research and step up monitoring and control efforts to prevent a possible pandemic.

With genetic code of the virus obtained from mainland authorities, the team scrutinised haemagglutinin, a protein that plays a crucial rule in the process of infection. The protein binds the virus to an animal cell, such as respiratory cells in humans, and bores a hole in the cell's membrane to allow entry by the virus.

The researchers found dramatic mutation of haemagglutinin in one of the four flu strains released for study by the central government. Nine of the protein's 560 amino acids had changed. In a typical flu virus, only one or two amino acids could change in such a short period of time, He said.

"It happened in just one or two weeks. The speed may not have caught up with the HIV, but it's quite unusual for a flu."

The fast mutation makes the virus' evolutionary development very hard to predict. "We don't know whether it will evolve into something harmless or dangerous," He said. "Our samples are too limited. But the authorities should definitely be alarmed and get prepared for the worst-case scenario."

The origin of the virus was puzzling due to its novelty, but He's research suggested some clues that differ from the mainland authorities' theories.

His team compared the new virus strain to all other H7N9 viruses identified in Europe and in other Asian countries that were cited by the Ministry of Agriculture as possible origins of the new bird flu, but found them all very different.

In fact, the new bird flu was quite similar to some familiar domestic viruses such as H9N2, H11N9 and H7N3 found in Zhejiang and Jiangsu.

He said researchers could not rule out the possibility that the new virus was carried into China by wild birds, but it was more likely to be of local origin.

Stewart nails it - I get the feeling his level of frustration is growing with the lack of response to this criminal behavior. Dylan Ratigan walked away from his TV career and is now promoting hydroponic farming utilizing the pool of talent from returning Vets.

Its so disturbing to watch the total disregard for human life by these so called leaders and corporations, its surreal. I keep thinking about the video Isis posted recently and her advice to be at peace as we watch all this fall away, not to fight and hold onto the old broken systems! That helped me tremendously!

I have a very difficult time with the complete ignorance and disdain for human life these jokers proclaim to look out for. Something of great magnitude needs to happen or our world is done for. This is one of a hundred such problems we face and only a very small group seem to care. THE WORLD IS DESENSITIZED TO THESE COMING TRAVESTIES!
PRAY,PRAY,PRAY my dear friends and find ways to act!

For two years I have been watching and reading about the dangers of GMO foods, especially CORN!! It is in everything. High fructose corn syrup has replaced almost all sugar in drinks, candies, bakery goods, and even gum! Not saying that sugar it good for you but it is a LOT better than HFCS! Corn is in pet food. It is everywhere.

Cancer, autoimmune diseases, ADHD, autism and many others are escalating at an alarming rate, yet no one seems to know why. Really? Call me paranoid but I believe they know why and it is from GMO's - or why don't we just call it the poison it is. You think that meat you are eating is GMO free because it was raised organic. Think again. If they field they were grazing on (or stream if fish), is near a field of GMO plant growth, then that so called chemical free field has cross pollinated with the GMO (or into the water).

We can't get away from it. I know home gardeners are now attempting to plant their crops at a staggered timing so their heirloom plants will NOT cross pollinate with GMO crops near by. Some are covering their crops but this isn't going to work either if the bees and birds pollinate their garden after having been in a GMO crop.

It is a battle that I am not sure we can win and that is the scariest part of all. Many people say grace over their food, maybe it is time we all do, to protect us from the poison that is in it.

rant I know, hot topic for me because it makes me feel so totally helpless.
