At the end of this video it talks about the Salt Caverns.

Does anyone know WHEN the salt caverns sink hole actually started? Was the first one just after 9/11 or before then is what I am wondering.

[link to youtu.be]
 Quoting: whiteangel

The sinkhole first appeared in august 2012, maybe aug 9th? Would have to check. However, the methane bubbles had been coming up in various locations, since somewhere between feb and may of 2012- if not before. again, I haven't looked to see if I can find the info. However, about 6 companies did tests ( as ordered) of the bubbles at their respective sites to get data on the gas/chemical contents in june 2012. A presumably broken ( my presumption from memory) and definitely bent exxon pipeline close (north?) to the tex brine operation also occurred very shortly before the sink appeared. This was not one of the 2 pipelines that lie in the right of way to the west edge of the sinkhole.( now inundated)

In addition to fracking operations by others, golden gate petroleum had been doing extensive 3d or frequency sound vibration mapping for some time. I think the general area had experienced tremors for some time as well.

There is a detailed theory of ongoing events connected with the salt extraction, and pre existing pits and errors and risks taken that might account for shifting and releases what led to the sinkhole at that location. If I can find that, which is more recent, Ill link.

Shooting nuclear waste into the sun? ‘Space disposal’ considered by Obama commission

[link to enenews.com]

The arrogance of those people! I don't think they have even considered the fact that there are "others" out there that would not take kindly to having humans fouling space. And to shoot it into the sun? What?? Is the sun ours exclusively?? Last time I looked there were 9 planets in our solar system.
Guess they're not satisfied with screwing up Earth. Got to destroy everything.

This is off topic, but I have been so stunned by the blatancy of what has occurred where I live, I need to add this= speaking of screwing up the earth.

The atomic energy commission just approved the licensing for a nuclear plant in florida even though 1.there is no plan for the waste disposal, but the company is confident they can devise one and 2. the plant design is not for karst topography. In fact, the company is used to bulding on clay soils.

So, we have a plant being built on porous sand and porous limerock adjacent to or on an extensive very low wetland flood plain near the gulf, in a topography that even before this more recent opening of sinkholes across the country has always been prone to sinkholes, has the water recharge system and aquifer near the surface a lot, is close to where the hurricanes have been coming in for last 7 years or so, and is prone to tornadoes as well.

To be accurate, if it is built on the wetlands themselves which I doubt since that is pretty soupy, there could be small clumps of clay areas, but mostly sandy soil. can't find a map- and I have tried. I know the general area is not where the company dot shows it because I have a friend that lives between 5-10 miles from the site. I believe it includes 700 acres.

I also remember hearing at a utility regulation meeting that a different utility company was only responsible for waste down to a particular depth- which was amazing small- something like 8 or 16 feet. or until rock is hit.

Limerock tends to be close to surface a lot here. this was in the same type of area, low and nearer the coast and the recently approved plant.

I guess my point is common sense and life safety is out the window. The only way this actually makes sense is if you don't mind killing life and in the event of accident, possibly helping along a waterway connecting the gulf and atlantic- something that was started one time, and got stopped. That doesn't benefit the utility so I don't think that is their intention. The intention is the consumers here get billed cost recovery rather than the investor rate of return suffering, and the companies get a good deal to export the energy out of the state.

I apologize for the rant. It is hard to see the gulf and its bordering states destroyed - life forms, land, water,
air.

The magnetic connection with earth has been more centrally located on old sol of late but in the case of a CME this should still be geoeffective.

‘Scientists downplay earthquake risks’
Two destructive earthquakes within a week of each other, the first with a 7.5 magnitude on the Iran-Pakistan border, on April 16, and the second measuring 5.6 in eastern Afghanistan last Wednesday, were unsettlingly felt over much of north India, but were geologically unconnected to India’s seismic anatomy. However, the massive tectonic processes intrinsic to the Indian plate, notably in the Himalayan arc and on the western coast, cannot be ignored, says Vinod Kumar Gaur, seismologist with the Centre for Mathematical Modelling and Computer Simulation (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research).

The “collision zone” along the Himalayan arc, where the Indian plate crushes continuously into the belly of the Tibetan plate at 20 mm a year, has long been the subject of scientific scrutiny for Prof. Gaur, who along with American geophysicist Roger Bilham had, a decade ago in a Science paper, warned of a great Himalayan earthquake that could put millions of people at risk in the towns and villages of the Gangetic plains.

A pervading scientific culture that “lacks responsibility and rigour towards public safety... denies society the advantage of information and consequently resilience, against the natural disaster,” he told Divya Gandhi in an interview at his home in Bangalore.

Toxic pesticides burn up in California wildfire
And while smoke inhalation is never healthy, the fumes of this wildfire are particularly dangerous: fire officials on Thursday warned that a store of highly toxic pesticides caught fire at an agricultural property in Laguna Farms, near the university campus. Fire officials have sent out health warnings, urging residents to avoid inhaling smoke – even if no flames are nearby.

A second interior Alaska wolf has tested positive for rabies, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced Thursday. A trapper captured the wolf March 15 near Chandalar Lake near the foothills of the Brooks range about 185 miles north of Fairbanks, the same general location as a rabid wolf shot last month. The trapper killed the wolf, skinned it and fed raw meat from the carcass to his dog team, said spokeswoman Cathie Harms. The five dogs are in quarantine in Fairbanks.

DENHAM SPRINGS — Two oil tanks that have been on fire for more than 8 hours will have to burn for another two to three hours before firefighters can smothered the blaze with foam, authorities said Friday morning.

An explosion at a ruptured oil tank on Linder Road, between Denham Springs and Watson, caused the fire which spread to a second tank that cracked and expanded the blaze. The two oil tanks hold about 2,300 barrels of crude oil, said Mark Harrell, director of Livingston Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security.

In reports from the Guardian, Duarte had this to say about this dangerous situation: "The Arctic situation is snowballing: dangerous changes in the Arctic derived from accumulated anthropogenic greenhouse gases lead to more activities conducive to further greenhouse gas emissions.
