your are in the correct range of my age..
as far as your other question.. absolutely. The flow can and does change direction abruptly and it also changes speed, and in amount of energy its carrying. Right now with the Peru EQ, although only 4.7 has changed the flow (which i'm running calculations on as i type). The flow was running at a very quick pass yesterday but has started to slow way down.
