I know its been a long Record breaking hot year... but, i believe we are going to be getting record breaking cold pretty soon.....

1) Volcanoes -- volcanoes can trigger cooling -- Factors i) amount of so2 release ii) h2o available in upper atmosphere iii) Solar max iv) size of volcanic eruption. Prediction: Volcanic activity has increased with 400% since ice age ended making it more likely that a volcano could trigger a cooling effect in the near future.
2) Solar max and solar min -- During the last mini ice age solar max was low and during the last warming period the solar max was high. Prediction: The next from December 2013 till July 2017 earth will cool down. Not enough info to predict anything after that but there is a 50% possibility that earth may go into a mini ice age.
3) Earth's orbit -- Earth's orbit moves from a near circle to elliptical in a period that lasts from 95 000yrs to a 125 000yrs. Prediction: There is no cooling indication on this cycle for at least the next 40 000yrs
4) Precession: Precession can assist the Earth's orbit cycle to trigger ice ages, on its own however it plays a bigger role in triggering warming cycle. Prediction: The next warming cycle assist will happen in +/- 9000yrs from now. Precession is only effective in triggering warming when there are large areas of Deep Ocean available and very little ice and snow.
5) Land, Swallow Ocean and Deep Ocean -- land heats up faster and cool down faster. Swallow ocean heat up slower the land but keeps the heat for much longer then land. Deep Ocean takes the longest the heat up and the longest to cool down. Ice and snow cover decreases the amount of heat earth absorbs by deflecting the sun light. While open ocean and land without snow absorbs more heat. Prediction currently very little deep ocean are available when earth is the closest to the sun, and this occurs during winter. This means that earth is not absorbing maximum heat.
6) Earth's tilt -- when earth's tilt is greater the poles receive more heat, when earth's tilt is smaller earth' poles receives less heat. Prediction -- Earth's poles are receiving very little heat from the sun at the moment and it is decreasing every year, making cooling possible. Earth's poles will receive the least amount of heat in +/- 12 000yrs from now after which it will increase.
7) Earth's absorbing potential -- Ice and snow cover decreases the amount of heat earth absorbs by deflecting the sun light. While open ocean and land without snow absorbs more heat. Prediction -- Due to the current heating period earth has very little ice and snow, ironic since the heat also means there are large amounts of water vapour available that can drop tons of snow and ice when a cooling event does occur and this has happened before.
Over all conclusions: Earth will cool down for the next 5.5yrs and have a 50%posibillity to drop into a mini ice age. Because most of the 7mayor factors are pointing to cooling there is a high probability that prolong low solar max and a big volcanic eruption can trigger the next mayor ice age.
