I often wonder about the lack of even moderate quake activity along the Cascadia Subduction Zone, off of the Washington Coastline, what with all the quakes North AND South of there and the "newly discovered" "slow subduction quakes" occuring deep underground there but never releasing the shallow depth pressure that releases, in rather spectacular fasion, every few of hundred years......

There was a major quake in Seattle and from there a chain reaction of quakes starting in Redding, Ca all the way down the coast of California. The weird thing...they just completely skipped over Oregon.
