Gabe. Was wondering if you could give your take on this situation as well.

Here is the online seismo. You can see there is continuous action, although I'm not sure how to read this in respect to magnitude of tremors and was wondering if these are harmonic tremors:

Also, when doing research on the North American Craton, I found this map.

I never heard of this Accretionary Belt that runs along the North American Craton (in green on the map). The map states it welded to the Craton over the 600 million years since the Craton was last active.

I thought it was interesting that this Accretionary Belt includes the areas in South America and Peurto Rica/Virgin Islands which have been very active,along with the entire west coast of North America.

Any way, would appreciate thoughts on this matter.

Oops, was in a hurry to get my son out the door and didn't see that.

i believe the Cranton activation to be the trigger to such events as Yellow Stone erupting, NM splitting the country up the Mississippi, huge quake in Puerto Rico that causes the East Coast Tsunami and the San Andraes to create another line of beach front property........ other than that, i don't see a problem.

You forgot Japan sinking into the ocean when the tsunami from the San Andraes blows. And no, that wasn't meant to be funny, scary actually.

all this i believe to be natural cycles..... has happened before and will happen again..... but instead of hardy cavemen (and women) we are a softened evolved species who won't be able to handle these kind of earth changes very well. We are no where close to the technology to be able to stop these changes.... and when we try (and we do) we have a tendency to make things worse.....

Thank You all for the info. Gabe, are there any difinitive precursors that you can share with us to let us know where we are or that both asking & expecting to much? ;-) I know the signs are there that things are primed but I guess what I'm trying to ask is this. Is there a general conscensus as to wether things will just suddenly start popping off or if there will be another level of ramping up, so to speak? I know you mentioned a significant event on the Ring of Fire & maybe that's as finite an answer as you have right now but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask Much Love to you all! Oh, BTW, my headache was so intense this morning it was a hairs width from going migraine on me. Much better now but not a fun way to start the day.

I was more interested in the Accretinary Belt in regards to how it is connected to the NA Craton and extends the entire way to Central America and the Carribean Islands.

ELQ and others have been talking about the Craton for quite a while, so I have been watching this, but didn't connect the SA and Carribean Quakes to the Craton before.

Its like stretching a rubber-band. The stress it puts on the rubber until it finally snaps.

Because this isn't just Geological but also Meteorological and Celestial... many precursors are possible.

So the Geological precursor would be a huge, unprecedented EQ.... or massive volcano eruptions, sinkholes, etc.

Meteorological precursor i believe we started to see beginning of the year with all the record breaking events.... and are continuing to ramp up (Sandy)

Celestial precursor i believe to be the elevated levels of protons/electrons/gamma rays etc. (mixed with unknown particles) ...... a dead solar max...... weakened magnetosphere.

No coincidence we are seeing precursors from all three.... what's causing one is causing all.

I guess i don't understand what your asking me lol The Accretionary Belt is basically just a boundary made up of accretionary wedges(sentiment from plate collisions).... its not a fault line per say...

I have been checking [link to quakes.globalincidentmap.com] constantly for the 3rd day now. Guess it is a bit of that paranoia popping up but just keep thinking I am going to miss when the "big one" happens. I know that sounds like I want it to happen, but it isn't that. Remember the old MASH tv show, with the sick comedy? I did the same when I was a dispatcher for 20 years...loved it when it was busy but that also meant that someone, somewhere was suffering...it was a tug of war on your conscious. Not sure that is a good example, as that sounds like a bored person wanting some excitement, this is more of a - come on already, I know you are going to happen, let's get it over with already!!

Globalincidents is just a fast visual that works well for old eyes. I check the other sites also, after all, most of them do catch them all.

Hope I didn't confuse Gabe. The map states that the belt welded to the Craton over the 600 million years since the last major N.A. Craton activity. So I am wondering if movement within the Craton also means movement along this belt? As you can tell, I'm the amateur here...LOL.

Thats one to watch!

GlobalIncidentMap's quake page only shows 5 quakes in the last 90 + minutes.......to quiet with all that's been going on for my taste....

Exactly what I've been thinking since this morning.
Quake activity wayyy too quiet! It's not sitting too well with me!
