Gabe, would that quasar/black hole...whatever it is, effect us in any way?
Quoting: Nika for info from the experts Quoting: Nika I'm no expert, but it is highly improbable that a quasar would directly confront us. The gyro effect of the black hole keeps the gas stream pretty tight in a cone like line. They possess a tremendous amount of concentrated energy made up of X rays, ultraviolet rays, and others I can't quite remember, so if one was to strike us it would be a bad deal. Considering the nearest one is about 600 million light years away and their energy cone can only travel about 1 to 2 million light years we are safe. It takes a massive black hole to produce one.I'd say these pose no threat at this time Nika. Peace Quoting: shadasonic agree.... way to far away to effect us.
